Thank you for that. Tonight, a man claims he was racially profiled at a vacaville walmart. He says he was shopping when he was told to leave the store or get arrested for trespassing. Kpix5s kenny choi has the exclusive story. Reporter they found no evidence of racial profiling. We met the man who recorded this video to get his side of the story. Reporter joshua lane, a father of two and married was shopping for a movie projector for his kids at walmart in vacaville march 28. I went around to another aisle and i noticed they were trailing me again. Reporter lane who works as as a longshoreman says it started with one man working security. I told them im a working man. Showed them pictures of the wife and kids. He said you fit the description. Whats your name . I dont have one. The lady followed me. This happened three times. Three different aisles. Customer is being hostile and threatening. She asked me to leave. Once she said those words i knew she was on the phone as well. I headed toward the exit. Reporter we looked at the vacaville report which said lane was told about trespassing laws. The officer told me to leave the area. Dont come back. This is private property. I had to leave the parking lot and everything at that point. Reporter when lane and his wife contacted walmart claiming racial profiling, the company emailed them saying they were unable to substantiate that allegation. Im a family man. Im trying to teach my son here, my daughter as well. They will have to grow up in this city and be leaders as well. Im trying to show them by example. Reporter walmart say it is investigation involves a former employee but it did not provide details. Its very real, its everywhere. The more silent we are about i, the more it will continue to happen.
