But the area is still under a red flag warning because of dry and windy conditions. And tonight, a fire in butte county has destroyed four homes. The nelson fire started 2 00 this afternoon near oroville. Flames raced across 95 acres, prompting some evacuations. Right now, it is 50 contained. A scare near petaluma. Fire near hardin lane and mount ranch road set up smoke that could be seen for miles. No homes were threatened. Eck the flames infrem opper fire on northbound 880. You can see the flames whipping right into that car around noon today. All kinds of resources were thrown at it to make sure it didnt get out of control. A few acres ended up burning but you can see the flames were fairly intense. Chief meteorologist paul heggen is alongside. And paul, you are tracking some pretty prime fire conditions tonight. It will only get warmer tomorrow. If you think this is a little early in the season for this many fire to be popping up, youre not wrong. But because we have had so little rain in the rainy season, the vegetation is ready to go. It is 15 relative humidity right now. In fairfield. A lot of spots near or below 25 relative humidity. Thats the threshold we look fi but, the winds have calmed down a little bit this evening. That is definitely good news. The wind isnt going to be as strong tomorrow, but still enough for the red flag warning to continue until 1 00 on thursday for solano county. The atlanta Police Officer who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks is now facing murder charges. Former Police OfficerGarrett Rolfe faces 11 charges including felony murder and aggravated assault. The fatal encounter began when the officers responded to a call over the weekend about a man sleeping in a car blocking the wendys drive through. Officers shot brooks twice in the back after he pointed a stun gun at them. Another officer on scene faces charges for aggravated assault. Both have until tomorrow night to turn themselves in.
