The 27 year old was asleep in his car at a wendys drivethru when he was approached by police on friday night. Brooks asked if he could walk home, but after failing a sobriety test, officers tried to cuff him. He was shot twice in the back when he grabbed one of the officers tasers and took off running. Tonight the officer who shot brooks has been fired. Thcitys s stepped down, and prosecutors say they will decide by wednesday whether to file charges.
