Officer David Underwood was gunned down in front of a Federal Building on may 29. It happened during a night of unrest when an oakland protest turned violent and a white van was seen speeding away from the scene. An investigation is under way in oakland after a driver was shot and killed by a Highway Patrol officer. Officials have not released details about what led up to the confrontation.
