In fact, its the north bay right now that has some of the best opportunities for rain and a closeup view. Well stop the loop and show you theres a good little cell here moving in for west county to Sonoma County. Thats going to work its way to sebastopol and head over to 101 and clip off to santa rosa over the next 20 minutes. Here it is on futurecast. See it picks up on that cell of rain in Sonoma County. Heres how things will play forward over the rest of this evening. Well continue to see some light rain moving through, isolated showers focused mainly on the north bay. Im going to stop this right here. That gets us to early tomorrow morning. See the timestamp up there . Says in the 2 00 hour tomorrow morning. Starting to see a little more energy move onshore. Were not done with this. I know its been a fairly quiet sunday. But theres still an opportunity for more rain here going into monday. Im going to show that to you in detail in a few minutes. Tomorrow morning a number of bay area counties will begin relaxing some of their shelter in place rules. Kpix 5s john ramos is in marin county where socalled nonessential businesses will be allowed to reopen but with a lot of conditions. These are the kind of Small Businesses that are most at risk and may benefit from Curbside Pickup. There are others who say that really wont help them much at all. Many of the small stores in downtown novato offer products and services considered nonessential. Its made a walk down the sidewalk a bit depressing lately. I want to be a part of society again. I miss it. I miss being out and about. Were tired of being at home. But there is some good news. Beginning tomorrow, some of these businesses will be able to serve the public again, even if its just to bring items out to the curb. Tomorrow retail thats nonessential will be able to open curbside. A lot of folks are excited about that as well as interested to see if that actually helps their business thrive. Reporter kevin wright is managing the effort to reopen marin countys economy. Marin is an atrisk area with one in three of its residents at least 60 years old. The new order prohibits customers from being inside Retail Stores or touching merchandise and requires each business to physically display their plan to meet social distancing requirements. Wright says its not perfect but it will get businesses thinking about what longterm changes may lie in the future. I think a lot of Retail Businesses are looking ahead and thinking were going to start here but we need to move to the indoor environment at some point. Thats exactly the product. She said her clothing is the kind that people need to try on for size and selecting it from a website and picking it up at the curb wont make things safer. They take it home, they try it on, then theyre going to try it on anyway so its been in their home. Reporter the yearlong study of poverty in the bay area found peoples finances were so precarious that half of respondents had a bill sometime in the last year they simply could not afford to pay. That was long before the pandemic and stayathome orders sidelined tens of thousands of workers. Over the last year, 50 of bay area residents had to choose at least one time whether they were going to pay a bill, take care of a prescription, or buy food. Get off on 101, healdsburg, santa rosa, youre all going to see rain over the next 30 minutes. Here are the showers we were just looking at. That light band of rain over livermore. Theres not much to that one. What happens next, well play this forward. Heres why i say were not done. We get into the overnight hours. That says 2 40 in the morning tomorrow. Another band of organized rain works its way across the entire bay area in predawn darkness. Once we get into the afternoon when youre awake and more likely to notice this, this gets us into monday morning and its a spotty shower scenario with the possibility of some of these to come in the form of an isolated thunderstorm and if that happens, you get a good brief little downpour but those are going to be real isolated and most of us wont get it. But it could happen anywhere. If you get it, its quite a show. Thats the possibility throughout the day on monday. Tuesday were mostly done but i want to show you what happens on tuesday as an example. This gets us ahead to tuesday in the Late Afternoon and here comes one straggler. Same kind of story that we need to be aware of for monday. Most of us wont see this but the possibility is still going to be there on tuesday for the isolated thunderstorm to come through and thats something i want to make sure youre aware of.
