Still, he says, there is cause for hope. We survived the Great Depression and we did so by building a safety net for all. The empowerment is a humble small safety net run by volunteers. This shows you the confidence well be getting rain in those areas. You really see a story for santa rosa and the north bay from 11 00 a. M. To 3 00. Those are when our odds go up. This tells you the degree of confidence for rain. It looks impressive because its not telling you the amounts. First lets do the comparison between santa rosa, our north bay example, and now heres san jose. Very different story. Two things actually are different. The odds for rain have gone down. Were looking at about a 30 chance of rain here. Still means you can get it. Its later in the day. So for san jose its not until we get into the late afternoon. Thats a good spread across the bay area. Lets look at this another way. Wheres it going to fall where you can measure it . This is tomorrow by 1 00 in the afternoon. We havent seen much. As we go through the remainder of the day, the map starts filling in. Where you see those shades of darker green, this shows us a quarter of an inch of rain for Sonoma County and everybody else down here picks up maybe about a 10th of an inch of rain tops for the south bay and east bay. In addition to that, here are the temperatures. Were going to stay in the low to mid 70s in the south bay. Santa clara hits 73. Palo alto goes to 71. Fremont will hit 73. Concord could hit 75. The first, first step, the result of baseballs Antibody Test for covid19 has been returned. They studied different types of employees across majorleague baseball and it turns out only 0. 7 of the population had antibodies for the virus. That is being viewed as both good and bad. 5700 individuals were tested in the middle of april. 60 of them came back positive in Research Says some of those are likely false positives. 70 of those with covid19 antibodies never had symptoms when they were affected. 26 of the 30 majorleague organizations participated in that study. None of that really has any bearing on the return of the sport. Mlb is close to submitting a proposal in early july. Baseball turns to south korea when they start on thursday without fans. Roughly 30 players from the United States are over there. They describe a much different life for the virus had been mitigated. Why did south korea have so much success in stemming the tide and resuming baseball . I think one of the main factors in that, talking to my translator with teammates, one thing i learned today, if you are sick here it wasnt a covert situation. If you are sick you wear a mask and stay home. If you are out in public you wear gloves and a mask anyway. So when all this happened and everyone was being quarantined and everyone was told not to go out and everyone was told to wear masks and gloves and use hand sanitizer, all of that stuff was normal for them to begin with. They were able to make that adjustment very quickly is a culture. I think that helped and also the size of the country is much smaller and i think that is played into it as well. Where people, if they go out and they spread it, how fast it can spread because everything is crammed into two major areas so they didnt really have an option, they had to stay home. Were you optimistic that the plan to play baseball would go forward . Yes, i was not optimistic they told me it
