The examiner is reporting that homeless advocates sent a letter to the mayor demanding the city follow legislation approved by the board of supervisors to move the homeless into 7,000 hotel rooms by the end of april. That letter is considered the first step toward a legal action if the city does not comply. The mayor has said she would not sign legislation without a plan to supervise the hotels. Mean time, San Francisco will speed up the closure of the old jail inside the hall of justice. Today, supervisors voted to approve a measure that will shut down the dilapidated facility within the next six months. Mayor london reid previously ordered the seismically unsafe jail to close by mid 2021. Inmates must now be moved by november. They forced the victim to lay on the floor as they ransacked the room, stealing jewelry and cash. The suspects took off in a waiting get away car driven by a third suspect, the victim was not hurt.
