If we look at the future cast ive advanced this to late in 9 a. M. Hour. This is another band of rain that will march its way across the entire bay area starting in the late morning and this gets us ahead to the 1 pm hour. The same band of rain. Thats how long it took to get from Sonoma County to santa clara. Thats the way its going to date. In the second half of the day will break up a bit, some scattered showers here or there. Once we get into the evening it will turn off. But by monday there is a chance for some isolated showers. A few more get wrapped back into the bay area in this unique direction from the east working their way over the diablo region and towards the north bay. A lot of rain on monday but a chance for rain and isolated storm as well. We will turn it off for tuesday. Today is the most impressive rain in terms of widespread and duration. And the totals, because we will pick up about another half inch of rain on top of yesterday heard on average we got about half an inch of rain across the bay area. It varied wildly but the average is half an inch of rain and it will do it today. Maybe more than yesterday. In addition to somewhat impressive rain, you will notice the bands of rain moved through the afternoon but by the time we get into the early evening the wind will die down. This covers the rain and wind in the bay area and look at the other side of the state because this is the good news part of the story. It is all good news road because its the amount of rain we would like to see and we can handle it and we dont have to be on the roads. Lets work on the deficit. It will get cold monday and tuesday. 45 this morning, 37 tomorrow. Be ready for that noticeably colder. If we do the same comparison for oakland not even close. It will feel a whole lot better it will show you access to the bay. You see temperatures not big of a sling. Similar in san jose and cooler than oakland. But not as cold as the sheltered inland valleys. Thats the other side of this. The seven day forecast we talk about the chance for some scattered showers to come back through on monday. By tuesday some leftover clouds and by the middle and late part of next week we are backup 270 and mid 70s. Classic fors ring. We get some excitement and then it turns off and you quickly rebound and experience sunny and warm, once again. It is april, after all. That is a pretty good looking forecast. This will probably be the last significant chance or hope to add snow to the snowpack in the sierra. They did the official snow survey on april 1 and was about 50 so this adds a little to that. We will take it. So the weather was similar to last weekend. You say fast forward to next week and it is not going to be . It should be the first weekend after three in a row, or we dont get the rain on saturday and sunday. It looks like thats the way it will shape up.
