Havent today homeless advocates proa tested from their cars. They want most of the cities sheltered and unsheltered homeless moved into city hotels now. Its inevitable were going to have the shelters. Lets do this fast sorry that we can get people in hotel rooms and save lives. Reporter the mayor said this is not a question of hotel rooms but resources, providing enough food and manpower to care for and monitor most of the citys homeless population. They had planned to have people in this building earlier this week, but they have having to first fill out a 24hour staffing schedule to look after the place while you have as many as 400 people in there. And if were all in this together, and we all wear those kind of coverings, we stand a good chance of interrupting some frequency of the unknowing transmission. Reporter now, the San Francisco department of Public Health said you do not need an n95 mask in public, just something to cover your nose and mouth. A home made cloth mask, a towel, bandanna, or scarf will work just fine to absorb the droplets. They wanted to driver home the point that you dont need to rush out and get those n95 masks. Thaw are already in short supply for First Responders and those on the front lines of this, they just want you have to have something to cover your mouth when you go outside. A covid19 outbreak at this Skilled Nursing facility, the Oregon Care Center has 47 beds. 24 seniors have tested positive, and three Staff Members also positive. They are waiting for more test results to come back this weekend. All of the senior residents are in isolation, staying in their rooms. For those who have tested negative, there are no plans to move them out. There is no vaccine and no proven treatment. The only thing they can do for this facility, they say, is to help them reduce further transmission. So more training for the nurses.
