Giving birth is supposed to be one of the happiest moments of the mothers life but now the cdc is recommending covid 19 positive and potentially positive moms considered being separated from their newborns for up to a week. It is important to note that this is just a recommendation and not an order. The cdc says it is unknown whether newborns with covid19 are at increased risk for severe complications, but recommends if a mother test positive for the virus or is suspected to have it, facilities should consider temporarily separating the two until mom shows no symptoms. That means anywhere from 72 hours to a week. And in some cases even longer. Safely is one of those stores where customers can order groceries online, then an instant cart shopper will come and pick them up and deliver them to their door. The workers say they are trying to create an invisible picket line, shopper it is shoppers saying they are wanting them to hear their demands and concerns about working during the coronavirus outbreak. They say they want personal protective equipment, Hand Sanitizer and five dollars more per hour in hazard pay. The delivery app responded yesterday saying it would distribute Safety Supplies to full Service Workers, they also would launch a new tip setting to help shoppers earn higher, more consistent tips. Insta cart said the health and safety of our entire community, shoppers, customers and employers is our first priority. Now, the company says they have seen a massive increase in the number of orders since the shelter and place orders went in place and so now they are trying to hire 300,000 more workers to keep up with the demand. If officers see a group of people violating social distancing roles, they will issue citations. Santa clara county fairgrounds are being used to slow the spread of the virus. These trailers were given to the county by the state and they will be used as isolation chambers to house Homeless People and individuals who have the coronavirus. The trailers will be ready by the end of this week. The cdc now recommending that covid 19 positive and potentially positive moms consider being separated from their newborns for up to a week. If thats not possible, facilities should consider using barriers to keep the newborn at least six feet away from mom. This is just a recommendation by the cdc and not an order. There are now nine confirmed cases of covid19 at San Franciscos laguna honda hospital after a second patient at the facility tested positive. Seven Staff Members are also infected including five who provide patient care. All are said to be in good condition. The Mercy Hospital ship is now open for business excepting patients in los angeles on sunday. The 1000 bed facility is set up to treat people who do not have covid19 allowing hospitals to focus on treating coronavirus patients.
