Details on that coming up. Gianna . Good morning. We jump to the roadways right now and take a look at traffic in the south bay. A lot of activity happening along 60 this morning near jackson. This is due to an overnight crash. Unfortunately, this is a fatality. A lot of that activity there off to the shoulder. The Investigation Continues right an injection avenue. Vehicle rolled off the freeway, caught fire. Everything is now off to the shoulder there there was damage to 8 light pole as well. So that may take some time to repair that there 680 itself is moving okay in both directions. Temperatures just arriving on scene. Absolutely they will have everything cleared off the freeway pretty quickly. Other than that, the rest of the south bay off to a good start. 101, not seeing any delays right now. Pretty much an easy ride from there through the peninsula heading all the way into the city. Coming up my next report, will take a look at that drive through the altamont pass. This morning, we began with a string of crashes in the bay area. First, in san jose, chp is on the scene investigating a fatal crash on northbound 680. It happened overnight near the jackson road offramp. Authorities say the car hit eight light pole. Several science and an exit sign. Some of those extracted from the vehicle. The cause is unknown. All lanes back open after a wrongway crash on northbound highway 17. It happened a little after midnight near lock avenue. Involving a jeep, a motorcycle, and a white sedan. That crash sent six people to the hospital. It came through and went down. And so that motorcyclist, he came, about 25, 30 feet away from me. He had a badly damaged leg , which i put a tourniquet on. Authorities say two people are critically injured. No information on how the others are doing. Breaking news this morning in Southern California the chase of a Bank Robbery Suspect has led to a standoff outside a childrens hospital. Patients at the san diego facility have been advised to shelter in place while police try to negotiate with the suspect. The armed man came to a stop at san diego. The suspect barricaded himself inside his car. Is watching and other police swarmed the suv. So far, no arrests have been made. Developing this morning, an arrest in the murder of a woman and an airbnb rental in the East San Jose foothills. The suspect turned himself in. He is 25yearold rio giuffre say a. Deputies say he showed up to their Office Wednesday with his attorney to surrender. The victims body was found inside a backyard cottage on Mountain View avenue. Investigators are waiting to contact her family before releasing her identity. It is unknown what the the suspect had relationship with the victim. The sheriff has not provided details such as signs of a robbery or struggle or the manner of death. This morning, neighbors are in shock. We have lived here for about 10 years. They were last seen at their rental cartage on friday. Divers searched the waters along the tomales bay shoreline using sonar but nothing was found yesterday. This morning, Authorities Say they are baffled. It looks like the couple just vanished. Its like they were in the cottage. All of a sudden they got it is really weird. More ground searches are planned for next weekend in inverness. Intense video this morning of a highvoltage rescue. A paraglider dangling from the parents for nearly 3 hours. The crowd cheered when he was finally brought safety to the ground. [ cheers and applause ] it all started when the paraglider was returning from a Training Exercise to the Yuba County Airport in olivers. Somehow, his parachute got tangled up in some power lines, leaving him suspended as the sun went down. Pg e had to deenergize the lines, leaving thousands in the dark. Fire crews told the paraglider to stay still as they try to reach him with their letter. The difficulty was making sure that the lines were to make sure that our firefighters were safe before wish could make patient contact. Cameras were rolling for the triumphant moment. Firefighters finally got him down. Lowering him to the ground in a bucket, fire crews is a he is exhausted but in stable condition. Officials say the attack may have been motivated by far right views. 10 people were killed in the body of the suspect the gunman was founded in his home early this morning. Police say another person was also found dead. The victim is believed to be the suspects mother. The gunfire broke out yesterday night outside two hookah lounges in a small town east of frankford. An update to that library inferno that killed one firefighter and left another went missing in central california. This morning, two 13yearold are facing arson and conspiracy and manslaughter charges. Flames are seeing inside the library. Police say the teens were seen running from the porterville public library. Just after the fire broke out. Although the Fire Department was right next door, 55 firefighters and more than 12 hours to put it out. A 13 year Fire Department veteran was killed in this morning for the first time were hearing from his families.
