All lanes blocked on the southbound side. Northbound traffic doesnt seem to be affected. One person did die in the crash. We will be live to bring you more information in a minute. If you plan to travel out of daly city, you can use 280, that runs parallel to highway 1. Travelling southbound, trying to get to half moon bay, you can cut across 92. You can also cut across westborough to sky line boulevard. That turns into shark park boulevard and that will take you down to highway 1. Southbound highway 1 is closed until further notice. The oroville woman had been missing for almost a week when her suv was spotted. Her family credits the rescuers and neighbors who helped in the search. My initial reaction i was like yes yes, it was so exciting. When i heard she was alive, i was just absolutely amazed. It is unusual for someone to be missing this long, especially in an environment like that and survive. The sheriff says Paula Beth James was freezing and had run out of food and water. These shelters are being deployed for the next three months to house people who are living on the joe radoeda trail. Officials plan to relocate all of the people there in the next month. San francisco has a new supervisor who has bold ideas to tackle the housing crisis. Dean preston was elected this november. He is an attorney turned advocate known for founding tenants together and writing proposition f which guarantees Legal Counsel for anyone facing eviction. He wants to see San Francisco build 10,000 affordable units and make muni free by the year 2025 and create city owned housing on pub lg land. Southbound 101, there is an accident. We are seeing a few more trouble spots trickling in as things get busier out there. Southbound 101, we have a trouble spot blocking lanes there. It looks like southal 880, a vehicle reported here at brocall road. That could cause delays there as well. We are starting to see brake lights as you work on 101. Westbound 4 we have a trouble spot at 680. We are dealing with a wind advisory in addition to the wet weather affecting the drives on the bay bridge where metering lights are on as well as the san rafael bridge. The san rafael has gusts up to 30 miles per hour. This is just the start. We will see winds increase as well as the rain pick up. We have seen heavy downpours over the north bay. Im live in pacifica on the scene of a fatal car accident hat happened almost four hours ago on southbound highway 1. You can see the wreckage of one of the cars involved is still on scene. All of the lanes of this part of southbound highway 1 are closed. We are near the manner drive exit. Northbound is moving along fine. At about 3 15 this morning, a Dodge Charger was driving northbound on the southbound side of the highway when it hit a mercedes suv head on, killing the Dodge Charger driver and sending its passenger and the driver of the mercedes to sf general with unknown injuries. Chps investigation is at a stand still right now. They were prepared to clear the scene around 5 30 this morning when they got a call from the higher command saying to hold on everything. They are sending in the Major Accident Investigation Team. We actually dont know why there is a stand still now or what is holding them up. Right now the coroner is on scene and thats why it remains closed on this part of highway 1 in pacifica. Thank you.
