Mark liverman joins us live along the parade route. We are so glad that balloons are going to be flying, but a lot goes into preparing them, so what goes into prepping these balloons to fly . Well, michelle, good news the end. Like you said, the balloons have now been able to fly. Can you see at least one of them right there. Check that out. They are flying a little bit lower than they were originally supposed to but they are out here. They now have a chance to see all of them and a lot went into this. This is really game time decision. Really a down to the wire decision because at one point shall they were saying if sustained winds at 23 miles an hour or more or gusts of winds at 34 miles an hour or more, they were not going to have these balloons fly at all. At one point, they were predicting wind gusts of 15 miles an hour, some forecasters were. The good news, down tot wire decision. The balloons are flying. Not that there is any theres a lot of other things to look at and see and do while you are out here enjoying the parade. But a lot of people come out just to take in the balloons on thanksgiving day. Michelle . Yeah, the bloops are big part of the parade but also right behind you, the march everything bands and all that goes into it. It was a lastminute decision to fly the balloons, we know that. Did less people come out to the parade because of that, or are you still seeing the big crowd. Reporter i mean the crowds lined up the entire route but a lot of people that we spoke to say that they do come here to take the balloons and what goes into getting these balloons ready, by the way. A lot goes into it. They did a test about a month ago with all the handlers that they get out into the sky. Hundreds of handlers just to make each and every one of these balloons fly. They also offer glide on the go meal. This thanksgiving, they will be reaching out to more than 200 people who are on the streets in the tenderloin and who not able to get here for whatever reason.
