Ethically our prosecutors are bound by very strict standards that we will not file charges unless we can prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt. So its not fair to the public if we dont hold that high standard. Reporter tonight on the 28yearold Lebraun Wallace remains in custody held on an unrelated charge out of San Mateo County. A spokesperson for the Sheriffs Office says we stand by our investigation, and the arrests were made pursuant to a judges order. Although the District Attorney may want more investigation done, the persons arrested and responsible for these crimes will ultimately be held to account. For a police agency, they have probable cause. Its a different standard when they make an arrest. Reporter San Mateo CountyCommunity Groups and elected officials were prepared to make life quite miserable for the chickfila set to open here in redwood city next year, but then in an instant it all changed. Reporter after donating to antilgbtq groups for years, on monday the company said theyd focus future donations on education, homelessness, and hunger. Going from where they were to where theyre at now is really encouraging. Reporter San Mateo County supervisor was prepared to go to battle with chickfila over this location under construction in redwood city.
