This is the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office swat team. We have a search warrant and are demanding entry into your residence. This mans sister lives in apartment 205, he believes the contra cassidy contra costa sheriffs deputy were looking for his nephew. Two i was curious and wanted to see what it was all about. Reporter over the course of three days in the exhibit hall, 233 surgeons reformed performed a common operation. , but before they picked up their forceps, each doctor was outfitted with a bevy of wearable technologies. This is definitely not typical operating room attire. Reporter the devices will measure their surgical decision making. As well as their technique. As to why . Technicians attach a wearable eeg to the four head the doctor then takes a cognitive test. We had to do a test of our attention and memory. Reporter the eegs role . To get a baseline of the abilities of the people. And then, we want to compare that to their performance during the operation. Reporter the team then puts motion tracking capture sensors on the surgeons fingers. Hans get gloves, and wires cable to a control unit. You relax and forget your wires on your fingers. Reporter the patient . A small piece of a pigs intestines punctured with tiny holes. The surgeon must first find and then repair the damage. They have 20 minutes. Two small video cameras record the action as the surgeons work. The sensors capture the surgeons hands moving in 3d. The eegs sends the doctors brain waves to the cloud. All sound is recorded, and the data synced up. I was rushing. Reporter when time is up a photo is taken and water pumped through to see if there are any leaks. It didnt leak that was perfect. Reporter the data is now waiting to be crunched. The surgeons all see a benefit. It is very useful in training. I think its very important. There are surgeons better than others but we dont have a way of checking that. How do you match up so you can then improve your skills you get to the level of the expert. Or have a way for residents and fellows to test their skills. As we age, its important that there is some kind of true data measurement. A first look tonight at how firefighters rushed in to save a vallejo house in the direct path of an explosive fire late last month. Flames were arching over the top of the homes with the wind suddenly shifted and pushed the fire right towards this house. Firefighters fought back. Even in the fire burned 150 acres, not a single home was lost. Those guys were here, immediately. And, we have several houses that the claims of the backyard and they were there and able to get them out before they went to the house. Turning out to weather, fire is kind of a distant memory .
