Gorgeous sunset tonight over the bay, quite pleasant for the start of november, but some folks are asking wheres the rain. Darren, how long will the dry spell stick around . Through the sevenday forecast and even looking beyond, nothing. Yeah, so it looks look a dry start to november for the first couple of weeks. But we say this happen last year, and by the last week of november, we started getting rain and then by february we went up above average, so we cant base too much on these first couple of days of november, but its important to note were falling behind average for the moment. And heres more good news for today. Thats another time lapse showing the marine layer surging on shore. The humidity levels started to come up for those of us whoever direct access to the bay. Mid70s for relative humidity levels in oakland this afternoon. It was in the 30s yesterday. Were all going to start to feel the benefits of that gradually, just not all that quickly. Take a look at concords daytime high. 81 today. San francisco made it to 71. 81 in concord comes in about 12 degrees above average for this time of year. And im going to show you the trend over the next 5 days. Theres not going to be a lot of change. Were going to be staying just about as warm as we were today. For much of the sevenday. But first morning lows tomorrow. 39 santa rosa. Sounds cold. Especially in comparison to the rest of the bay area. But were not doing anymore frost advisories or freeze warnings. That was with the lo well part of the story, the humidity is coming back in. Were not nearly as dry. The air, if its got a little more moisture, the temperatures will not drop as far as they have been. Thats one of the aspects of dry air. The temperature swings can be big. And looking at the daytime highs for tomorrow, well hit79 in santa rosa tomorrow. And look at the rest of the areas in and around the bay. Warmer than average numbers, but not quite as far above average. 69 is an average daytime high for concord this week. Look at those numbers. The next 5 days were staying well above that. Coming into the bay, for oakland we bring the numbers down. The average for oakland right now is 66. Not that far off. But still the numbers are coming in well above that mark. And even though the average doesnt change, the numbers do come down a little, so its not quite as exaggerated, but in general everyone is warmer than average. The further you are inland, the further you are above average. And when we look at the pattern, look at the exaggerated swings the atmosphere has to go through to go that far out of its way to have nothing to do with california. We have a big block of High Pressure that will continue driving the weather this that direction. And theres the 8 to 14 outlook. It takes us to the middle of november. The deeper the shade of red on here, the higher the confidence temperatures will be staying above average. That definitely plays out in the next seven days. We can see that by next weekend, it will be in the mid80s inland. A 70degree beach day for the early part of november. Wow. And we now know even going out past the sevenday, theres strong confidence that temperatures will stay above average and we wont be getting any rain. Back over to you.
