Santa ana winds creating havoc continuing to cause problems in southern california. We have live pictures of helicopters dumping water on a brush fire in whittier. This one looks like they have a handle on it for sure. The air assault has been going for a while. You can see the choppers as they collect the water at the nearby lake. Luckily that is there. La county fire says Law Enforcement is helping people evacuate from a nearby homeless encampment. The fire burned three acres. Another wildfire. This one threatening homes in ventura county. You can see the whipping santa ana winds quickly spreading. The socalled easy fire which erupted just before dawn today between simi valley. More than 6000 homes stand in the path of that fire. At one point flames encircled the reagan president ial library. Some crews were able to keep the fire at bay. It was a frightening situation for humans and animals alike. Horses running out onto the highway. One brave horse and did a 180 and ran back and appeared to be guiding some other horses to safety. Unfortunately the 28yearold mayor had to be put down. It seems like the north bay keeps getting picked on and all of this. There is a connection. The same pattern that brought a red flag warnings appeared to the north bay is responsible for the reason why there is a freeze warning here. The air is solo drive. It is a lot drier up here than the rest of the bay area. These are isolated values which dont have. It has been a northerly flow. If youre near the bay you have a little more humidity in the air. The dryer air is the colder it can get. That is why we are focusing on the north bay. I know it feels like you are getting picked on. Lets get some of the details here. We will pull out some of the specific numbers. There is the bay area as a whole. The High Resolution forecast imagery where the temperatures will bottom out the most. You need to look at the bottom of the bowl. Here is the value. There is windsor. You can see the topography here. In the mountains.
