Fire conditions intensify later this week. 16 counties in Northern California could have the power shut off as early as wednesday night. The Power Company said it will announce the final details tomorrow. Tuesday afternoon. We have not decided to shut off power. He will do another meteorologist run or two. We will make a decision sometime early afternoon tomorrow. We are hoping the weather breaks in our favorite and we dont have to do this. Reporter 209,000 customers are being notified they could lose power. It covers an area including Northern California the sierra foothill and part of the bay area. The bay area they worn parts of sonoma and napa counties could be facing shut offs again. San mateo county on alert. The decision will be announced later than the north bay. The shutoffs have been met with criticism. The governor and the head of the cpuc calling them unacceptable. I asked him why he said the shutoffs could continue for yet another decade. Pg e is being arrogant about that. Can you address that . We are being realistic about it. But i was intending to convey. We had a tenyear period in front of us where we would limit these every year. Make them narrower in scope and eventually get to the point we did not need them. We do want to clarify pg e set the final details for when and where the shutoffs will happen will be announced on wednesday afternoon. The prospect of outages blooming again. He put in the north bay have been going to the notions. They are buying generators and coming up with contingency plans. Pg e assures if and when there is a shut off communication and updates will be vastly improved. Residents are not so sure giving how badly it went last time. Gust of 60 miles per hour. Enough to be concerned for fire weather. This is not really out of the ordinary in terms of what we would typically see for fall offshore wind event. We can watch how this will play out. Have to keep your eye on the bright colors in the north bay. That gives us to will wednesday afternoon. We have seen the winds pick up. They are still in onshore flow coming to the base. Thursday morning much brighter colors appear. The streamlines are showing you this is offshore all the way. All the way through the golden gate. We are highlighting the mountains. Of napa county. If we put some numbers on this while we could see 60 mileper hour wind gusts in the mountains of napa county. The fire danger giving residents a close call in this la neighborhood. Flames roared at the steep canyon getting dangerously close to these homes. That allows the helicopters and the aircraft to get down very low in drop Precision Air drops to try to slow this fire down. It is relatively small so far compared to the wildfires we normally get in this part of the world. There is a lot of available aircraft. They are working hard to try to knock this thing down. Before the winds pick up further. As you look at this backyard like many others you can see. That is the fire retardant dc 10s have been dropping through here. As we look on the canyon we can expect to see more helicopters dropping water. We are in pacific palisades. Alameda residents could see their fees more than doubled to keep the citys storm drains open. People are asking why the sudden spike in their bills. Alameda said when this comes to the storm drains it is time to pony up. Homeowners pay 56 a year to keep the storm drains open. The city wants to add 78 more for a total of 134. The city is mailing voter cards the Property Owners for approval calling it a fee not a tax. A tax you need two thirds of the vote. A fee you need 50 1. 50 1.
