Rachel bianchi has the story. Reporter its an unusual and disturbing sight. Hundreds of rats crawling inside a van parked at a delmar convenient store. The van not operable after the rats chewed through the wires. Everywhere. There was not one place in the van whey in theing. Thame and went from engine area. Reporter the Humane Society made multiple trips to remove the rodents. They are all pet rats. All of them healthy, and now available for adoption. She was extremely helpful during the entire process as well. She did love her pets. She just let it get out of hand and became overwhelmed. Reporter what seems like a typical hoarding story has turned into a story of hope. This video made the rounds on next door. It caught the attention of neighbors like kimberly jackson. Reporter her name is carla. She works full time at circle k. Recently, she had been living in her van. She became homeless. Moved into her van with the two rats. They had babies. Reporter jackson and the other neighbors set up a go fund me. It has raised 4,000. They are trying to get her Mental Health care and a place to live. She is just a gentle, gentle person.
