Thank you. This morning federal investigators are in Santa Barbara county trying to figure out what sparked that who are revving fire that killed 34 people on a dive boat. Recovery teams are still working this morning to pull the wreckage of the conception from the water off santa cruz island. Agents also boarded another boat owned by the same company as they look for any information to help their investigation. The fire broke out early monday morning. Half an hour after the may day call. Coast guard and fire crews were sent to save them. The fire was out by 5 a. M. A little more than day later, the mission switched from rescue to recovery and the search for survivors was called off. All 34 victims were in bunks on the bottom deck when the fire broke out. Federal investigators say they plan to stay at the scene for up to ten days looking into Safety Measures aboard the boat, including whether it had fire extinguishers. Ntsb is asking the public to send any photos or videos that might help its investigation. Today, authorities will work to identify more of the victims. His name is Raymond Scott chan and he was on board the boat with his daughter. Its tragic situation this morning his daughter was kendra a marine biologist. He posted a picture, his last facebook post, was of him doisk with a post saying my daughter lives in ventura. Its my excuse to visit her. She was also on board the boat a marine biologist living in ventura. I grew up cube scuba diving in the Channel Islands and would go with my dad every year. Live it. I grew up fortunate to have parents that were both majored in science. Reporter and frish and wildlife for whom she works talking about how she got the star start. In fremont the Unified School District says mr. Chan was beloved teacher and his students knew him to be a inspiring teach here developed a passion forphysic. We are told he taught here for at least two years. He will be missed. We will be reaching out to the school as soon as it begins to open. His name is Raymond Scott chan and taught af physics at Person High School and he was on board with his daughter kendra they were from los altos and the last pays book post was a picture of himself diving saying hi daughter lives in ventura and its my excuse to visit her. She was on the boat and has not been accounted for. They shared the passion together. And the Fremont Unified School district says that mr. Chan was a beloved teacher.
