Theyre actually installing a new dock onto the International Space station. This will allow for commercial spacecraft to dock using an ao mated system. A big cheer for target and lowes on wall street as the two retailers turned in very strong earnings. 5 . 18. 4 billion. Both maintained their forecast for the rest of 2019. As a result target stock is trading at an all time high and lowes is moving by 11 in the early going. Other retailers including best buy getting a nice boost from that movement. And were also looking at the Federal Reserve today. Thats when the fed cut Interest Rates by a quarter point. After that meeting said the move did not necessarily signal the beginning of a rate cutting cycle. Wall street did not like that news at the time. Recession worries have since grown and the market is expecting the fed to cut rate at its september meeting so all eyes coming down later this morning. State agriculture experts are taking on a potentially destruct ipest in eastern and contra costa county. Peach fruit flies were discovered earlier this month. Californias Department Food and agriculture says flies could be devastating for a wide variety of food and vegetable crops. If it hit us hard, we would probably lose in the neighborhood of around 500,000. The fruit flies lay eggs in peaches and other tree fruit which then turn into a maggot infested mush. Chemical treatment began in the area last weekend and will be repeated every other week throughout the flies life cycles. Soil is expected to be delivered to a project.
