It turns out faceapp is owned by a russianbased Company Called wireless lab. They are shading everything, not just getting your picture, they can access your contacts, information, even the cookies. When you download the app you are opening all of your device for them to just harvest everything. Reporter faceapp responded to privacy concerns in a statement to tech crunch that says, in part, we accept requests from users from giving all of our data for the servers we do not sell any user data within third parties and even though the core r d team is located in russia the user data is not transferred to russia.
