No brake lights to report. Simply just a little bit of extra volume and the eastbound direction everything there looks good to go. Only about 15 minutes on east shore freeway, less than half an hour on highway 40 to get to the east shore freeway. And a 30 minute ride out of the south bay. New this morning, San Jose Police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead. Officers were called to the scene last night on have it scored just before 9 00. Authorities say two adults left the home, each suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victims were taken to a local hospital where one of them died. At this hour there is still a heavy Police Presence in the neighborhood. The suspected shooter is still believed to be inside the home. bangs were used by San Jose Police this morning in an attempt to access the home. At this time is unclear if the suspect has been capture. Kpixs jackie ward attended the scene and will have a live update in our next half hour. We have some new video out of fremont this morning. A brush fire that went on overnight. Luckily it is now contained and mission boulevard has just been reopened. It broke out at around 10 00 last night. East of mission near nichols avenue when crews had to evacuate several homes in that area. Luckily it is pretty sparsely l some people out there in the dead of night. And then they contain the fire by about 1 am. But firefighters are still unseen to make sure it doesnt reignite. In the east bay, a three alarm fire sent an injured firefighter to the hospital. It happen in pittsburg at the elite supply company yesterday afternoon. A huge column of smoke could be seen for miles. Officials say it started in a homeless encampment just on the other side of the fence. It then spread onto the yard where roofing materials caught fire. We have county health coming out to make some assessments as to the airquality. There is some concern about what was burning. Health officials were called to the scene because of the chemicals in the material that burned. The firefighters suffered smoke and elation and was rushed to the hospital. He has since been released. Was about 90 degrees in pittsburg when the fire started. And despite that firefighters got it under control pretty quickly before it could really take off at all that dry brush. In the meantime pg e says they have precautionary Power Outages early this month and it may have prevented a potential wildfire. The utility cut electricity to 22,000 customers in parts of napa, solano, and yolo countys during flight conditions back on june 8. Killing all 11 onboard. It is the deadliest u. S. Aviation accident since 2011. Among the victims, skydiving instructors larry lemaster, casey williamson, and mike martin. That repairs were also made to get the twin turbine plane back in service.
