Two men, one a cabby, another a tow truck driver, killed right here on skyline boulevard. Family and friends tell me they believe both men were lured here by their killer. As tow truck driver john drove up skyline boulevard last night, he took a few seconds to post on social media. Moments after this snapchat video, he was viciously murdered. Family members tell me john was dispatched by his company to help someone in need, then was stabbed as he was setting up his towing equipment. Bmw model 3 or 5 series. Reporter deputies heard john screaming for help as they arrived. I got a male. Multiple stab wounds. Reporter the suspect tried to get away by driving directly atut he shot fire. Reporter deputies opened fire but missed the driver. Still deputies say malik was injured when he crashed his car into a ditch. The suspect lives on inverness in pacifica. His neighbors took pictures of Police Investigators pouring over his house. He livers here with his younger brother and his parents. Reporter this neighbor does not want to show his face on tv but said he had been acting increasingly strange in recent months. He tried to open the car when my sister was in there. My brother warned him to go. Home. He refused and just stood there. He didnt say anything. Reporter the tow truck driver was the second victim found stabbed along skyline. Monday night, abdul malik, was the first homicide victim here. He was my closest best friend ever. Reporter abdul maliks best friend also doesnt want to show his face on tv. He says he called him the night before, sunday night, to tell him about a strange customer who wanted to leave his bmw along skyline boulevard. The guy got in his car and asked him to follow him on skyline south. So abdul was talking to me when he was driving behind him. He told me, this guy is weird and i feel like scared. Reporter are the two cases related . This is all the Sheriffs Department will say about that for now. Investigators are actively looking into a connection between the two homicides. The suspect is still in the hospital so the District Attorney says he hasnt received formula charges on him yet. We want to make this clear.
