This is in solino, ohio, after two tornadoes touched down at around 11 30 last night. Search and rescue crews were at it all night. But certainly their job made a little easier now that the sun has come up. They have been pulling people out of buildings that have collapsed, as they continue to survey the damage. The mayor just about a half hour ago said that they are shutting down the entire water system. For the city of dateon. Thats because there is no millions of people t the sheriff said e worst he has factthey plows to clear debris from some of the major thoroughfares. And theres concern about gas leaks. Happening today, teachers in the new Haven Unified School district will be out in the classroom can out on the picket line for the second week in a row. Jackie ward joins us with where the teachers in the district stand in the district now. Instead of requesting a 10 raise over the next two years, the union says it will come down to about 7 . And the district isno offering a 2 raise, starting in january. Plus, a onetime, 40 bonus, this school year. Right now, the Sticking Point is, we would like a raise to manage the cost of living in this area. We have a lot of teachers who are very hardpressed to make rent payments. The district says the cost of its latest offer is 6 million over three years, which is 1 million more than the previous offer and would keep new haven teachers the highest in all of Alameda County. They say any increase beyond the teachers last, best and final offer, would offer significant cuts. Would jeopardize student safety, to diminish the quality of the programs and threaten the districts financial solvency. The district has about 11,000 students across its 12 schools. And we are monitoring out of dayton, ohio, after two massive tornadoes hit overnight. Entire apartment complexes right now, are just collapsed, as well as some of the homes. This is drone from from celina, ohio, which is a suburb of dayton. Dayton is pretty significant sized city. Right now, there is no power to all of those people. Shareshutting down the theyre shutting down the water system, because there is no power at the water plant. Miraculously, there are only 75 people injured at this point. But that number could rise. Theyre going into some of these communities with search and rescue dogs, trying to find people who may be tracked in the rubble. Some of the weather radar indicates that debris was sent tens of thousands of feet into the atmosphere, with these tornadoes that hit just after 11 00 p. M. Once you get past this accident, youre actually pretty good, all the way to the east shore freeway. But youll need to give yourself a little extra time there. Off to the altamonte pass, its slow and go out of the tracy triangle. Back up to a normal running speed. But if you continue westbound, youre going to hit a crash in san ramon road in the center divide. Or youre going to have some delays. And theres another accident just into our newsroom. Car fire westbound 84 at palomar road. And unfortunately, that is starting to cause some delays, as you are getting closer to fremont, heading to fremont there. In the yellow now on the east shore freeway. As well as highway 4. Still looking good, though, coming out. South bay, on the 101. That drive time only 40 minutes this morning.
