She said my son did something stupid. Reporter they believe 19 yearold man and woman at the same age dumped a woman in livermore and left her for dead. A passing driver called police after finding her stabbed and bloody at 2 00 this morning. She is falling on the road. Shes missing an arm and bloodied. They thought the woman may have severed an arm, which was not true. It appeared she was likely had her arm underneath her body as she was crawling. Reporter she called 100 yards to the road where she was spotted. Another passing motor appears to have been stabbed in the throat. Reporter the woman was air lifted to caster valley where she died, but not before uttering one crucial piece of o information. The identity of her attackers. The last thing we believe she was able to do was to point us in the direction of the people who killed her. We have obviously a very compelling diagnose declaration. Apparently it was extinguished in about four minutes. But in that time before an automatic fire extinguishing system was deployed, those slides were also deployed. Everyone slid down, im told, that five people had very minor cuts and bruises. We checked the passengers. There were five people complaining of minor injuries. Tonight a crowded cal train hit a car stuck on the tracks in palo alto. The collision happened at 7 30 at the charleston road crossing. The Fire Department says the driver of the car was having trouble with the Navigation System and left the car on the tracks. Then a train with 600 passengers smashed right into it. Nobody was hurt. Police in fremont say two brothers are behind a rental scam that cost landlords more than 120,000. The cadeer brothers lied and used fake documents to get into highend rentals. Then after they moved in, they refused to pay rent for months, often leaving the properties trashed before taking off. The brothers were arrested last month and they are out on bail. And in another case, two bay area landlords have agreed to pay up. Theyre accused of preying on veterans, making a fortune by doing so. Kpix 5 Andrea Nakano is in the newsroom with details on the multimillion dollar settlement. Reporter the San FranciscoCity Attorneys Office claimed they scammed their tenants. Some tenants felt lucky to have a place called home. My landlord is good to us. Reporter the woman who didnt want to be identified lives in this house. They are accused of illegally chopping up 12 buildings into 49 smaller makeshift housing units. Gas and water lines were rigged on some of the properties creating dangerous conditions for the tenants and surrounding neighbors. Now as a part of a 2 million settlement between the city and the landlords, all the unit wills have to be brought up to code. That will require reconfiguring the units. They will be reduced from 49 to 37. A part of the 2 million will be used to find alternate housing for ten households that will have to be relocated. The landlords can no longer drag their feet on making much needed changes. But the tenants didnt think any changes needed to be made. Judy is a good landlord. Shes nice. I have no complaints.
