Sausalito police say 48year old Douglas Crandall got on the bright red tugboat and released the 10 heavy mooring lines. He cut it in the middle. Reporter then let the boat drift into richardson bay. It could have run into other vessels. It could have run over other vessels. 350 tons of steel and it doesnt care what it does when it hits something. And it was out of control. Reporter a sausalito ferry boat captain reported the wayward tug to the coast guard. Petty officers say when they got on the body, they found crandall to couldnt explain why the boat was loose in the bay. He was turned over to Sausalito Police and then two coast guard boats pushed the stolen tug back to the dock. In my 21 years in the police department, this is the first time anyone stalled in a 350 ton tugboat. In kentucky, two students are killed in the first Deadly School shooting in the u. S. In 2018. The two 15yearolds were killed when a classmate opened fire in a school eight tree up. Authorities say the 15yearold boy used a handgun to shoot randomly. It took less than 10 minutes for Law Enforcement to arrive and arrest the gunman. I will tell you the 15year old is going to be charged with murder. And attempted murder and we are working with the authorities now to proceed with those charges. The gunman also wounded 18 others. The county attorney is expected to ask for the suspect to be tried as an adult. If that happens, then his name will be released.
