Thats when they say the suspect sped up, ran a red light, and collided with the family. They said from two exits before he was being followed. They just didnt take precaution on this. He faces a number of charges, including murder. Tonight new details on the 13 siblings held captive in river side county. Yes, the children said the parents used chains, ropes, and padlocks to shackle them to their beds. Louise and david terpin both pleaded not guilty in a courtroom today. The couple held their 13 kids captive for years according to prosecutors. They range in age from 2 to 29 years old. All the victims were and are severely malnourished. Specifically severe malnutrition dealing with muscle wasting. The children were chained in rooms for weeks or months at a time, not even allowed to go to the restroom. None of the victims were allowed to shower more than once a year.
