A section of 280 was shut down early this morning. Kpix5s Jessica Flores tells us the victims did not wait around for an ambulance. Lemany. Reporter bullet casings littered the freeway at 280 and alemany where chp officers shut down southbound lanes in the Early Morning hours. Officers combed the scene for evidence as they investigated the freeway shooting that left at least three people injured. The three parties that were at the hospital all suffered what would be deemed to be nonlife threatening injuries and some are i believe one or two are still in for treatment now but will be soon released. Reporter officers say the three victims were riding together in a black escalade around 3 a. M. When they were shot at. The victims continued in the escalade taking themselves to the hospital. Investigators interviewed the victims at the hospital. We interviewed those parties. They all indicated they did not see anything. Reporter but quintuplets was a first for the hospital at walnut creek and it was the reason the kempels spoke to kpix5 last month about their fight to convince kaiser to fly them to arizona to a doctor who is used to doing high risk pregnancies to care for amy, so the kaiser medical team reassured the couple even holding practice runs of the birth. On thursday the real day came. Doctors are alling all five babies miracles. We hope that they all do okay and were able to bring them all home.
