Any time we lock in High Pressure for an extended period of time, thats when we get the dry weather. That is where we are now. At the reservoir, the water level is far below where it was earlier. That is by design. Right now the reservoir is only holding about 28 of its capacity because the water has been released downstream in order to recharge the groundwater supply. No, were not concerned about it. We are in good shape. As for drought years, water managers say the public should conserve and combined with the robust rain in the sierras last winter, we are in good shape for now. I think it is way too early for anyone to be concerned about water. We didnt get heavy rains until january and february of this year. What are the chances that a couple of big rainstorms could bring us back into the range of normal . We crunch the number back to 1849 and the most accurate record in the bay area said that only about 18 of the time to actually get a normal water year.
