Just two hours ago she flew into los angeles. Her name is marilou danley. Federal agents were there to meet the 62yearold. She was in the philippines at the time of the shooting. Authorities say shes a person of interest and may have information on a possible motive. And tonight were also getting a closer look at the chaos that happened on sunday night when the shooting rang out at the concert. Were getting a closer look from the Police Officers body cameras. Were seeing how they responded and what they did to protect the concert goers. Just stay down go that way get out of here theres gunshots coming from over here. They came out of a window. Were also getting a closer look at what stephen Paddocks Hotel room looked like. We have video to show you, and were also getting a sense of just how much fire power he had in there. Inside the hotel suite police found the gunman dead on the floor surrounded by 23 guns and rifles including this assault weapon. In all the shooting lasted 9 to 11 minutes. Tonight Law Enforcement officials said the gunman used a device known as a bump stock that allows semiautomatic rifles to mimic fully automatic gun fire. There were 12 bump fire stocks identified on the guns in the hotel room. Reporter 64yearold Stephen Paddock set up cameras inside and outside of the hotel room, including one on a service cart. Two cameras were located in the hallway so the suspect could watch as Law Enforcement or security came to the room, and another in the peephole. Reporter theyre trying to determine if the gunman initially had a different target. A source told cbs news he tried to get a hotel room near the life is beautiful Music Festival a week earlier but he couldnt get the specific suites he requested. Something happened to drove him into the pit of hell. Reporter the gunman recently transferred more than 100,000 to a bank account in the philippines. Mers in vegas have cancelled their shows this week . And again, paddocks girlfriend is now here in the united states. She just flew into los angeles and shes being questioned by authorities. She is a person of interest. And ken, tomorrow President Trump is expected to be here at 9 30 in the morning, flying in on air force one to meet with survivors, family members, victims family members, and also First Responders. Yes, everybody can understand that the city is probably still in a state of shock, especially in light of the video released today where you really get a feeling for the fire power coming out of that building, and i understand some performers in las vegas even canceled shows this week. Reporter yeah, absolutely. Its a different vegas and will be that way for some time. Jennifer lopez has her concerts here, and shes chosen to not perform this week out of respect to the family members. She even tweeted that shes heart broken. Also jason aldean wont be performing the next three concerts out of respect for family members. And some of the restaurants are closed down. Also tonight a las vegas hospital says another person has died from their injuries. These are just some of the 59 lives lost in the shooting tonight. Almost all of them have been identified. Some are from the bay area. Michelle vough was a san jose native, she was 32 years. Denise cohen leaves behind two sons. She graduated in a bay area high school. Stacey echebert was also the wife of a San Francisco officer. Tonight dozens joined her family and friends in the valley to say good bye. Andrea borba was there. Reporter in a sea of candle light, red roses and giant orange ribbon, a crowd came to reflect on the death of stacey. A mad man with a gun did the unthinkable. Reporter stacey and her husband, a police officer, were at the route 91 Music Festival listening to jason ald,ean when bullets started raining down on the crowd. Her husband told her to run, and thats the last time he saw her alive. Its almost impossible to find a good list of solid jane does because she didnt have her identification. We circled around and had a sixth sense that the last stop was the coroners office, and thats where we found her. Reporter her friends circled her family, promising to be a rock for the family. Sonny melton was at the concert with his wife heather. He grabbed her and told her to run, and as he did so, sonny was shot in the back. He saved me. He taught me what real love was. I remember looking at him on the day that he died before and thanking god that i knew what real love was. Heather and sonny had been married just 15 months and were living in tennessee. Sonny was 29 years old. Police and private security were out in force at shoreline theater tonight as imagine dragons took the stage. Joe is there with their message to the crowd. Reporter yes, theyve been belting out songs since about 9 30 this evening. Clearly it was a struggle for them to take the stage, but they did it anyway. The mountainview Police Department said it cant release suspects to the public, but officers are present tonight inside and outside of the venue. It makes me feel more safe knowing that there are so many people here that are here to protect everybody thats here. Reporter we talked to concert goers as they were entering, and clearly the Las Vegas Massacre is on a lot of peoples minds. We were wondering how the attendance would be tonight, but obviously im bringing my daughter so i feel okay about it. I mean, its really sad. I didnt hear much about it, but i know she was scared to come. Reporter what were you worried about . That someone like that would be here. Reporter as for the concert, each band made a statement about how awful the last two days have been. Imagine dragons have made it clear theyre crushed by the massive loss of life. We must come together, we must listen to each other. There is a place for protest, may we listen, may we hear, may we evolve. Reporter inside the theater it was a packed house. It was electric. People were singing along to the songs. There was a sense of joy, and a sense that people are trying to get past this tragedy. Both folks in the audience as well as the people on the stage. There were gunshot vexes in the front and back, and victims in the front and back, and one was lying across him. It was just insanity and chaos. It was complete shock, and my heart is broken. His fingers were wrapped on my hand. His hand like squeezed a little bit, and then just, like let loose. I did what i would hope that anybody would have done for me. That they would have made sure that i wasnt alone. To his girlfriend. And his heather stayed with jordan for more than four hours answering his phone as it rang and breaking the terrible news to his girlfriend and mother. Altered 12 of th the las vegas shooter had an arsenal of weapons as you know. Authorities say he altered 12 of them to unload thousands of rounds with a simple device called a bump stock, and its perfectly legal. Christin ayers shows us how this thing works. Its the closest you can get to an automatic firearm without actually having one. Its a bump stock, and totally legal in california. A novel item when our security analyst jeff harp allows the shooter to fire hundreds of rounds per minute. It serves as a substitute for having a fully automatic weapon. Reporter across from the Las Vegas Trauma Center were hundreds of victim where hundreds of victims were taken the night of the shooting is a blood drive, and showing up today, the very doctors and nurses that have been caring for the the victims since sunday night. Ive worked here for 30 years, and ive never seen anything like this. Its hard to imagine what potentially the blood needs to be for 527 patients admitted to hospitals. Youre supposed to squeeze this every five seconds. Reporter richard is from the bay area and flew to las vegas to be with his mom so the two could give blood today together. Im so proud of you. Thanks mom. Reporter he calls vegas his second home. Ive never donated blood before. Its unfortunate this is the first thing that inspired me to do it, but now i know how, and hopefully i can make this a habit. Reporter makeshift memorials have been popping through the las vegas, and signs reading pray for vegas. We stopped to find this couple putting up an american flag, only to learn theyre not from the united states. Theyre from switzerland. They came to las vegas for their honeymoon and spent part of it on lock down in their hotel when there were reports an active shooter was on the loose. Today they came to pay respects to the victims. Its our honeymoon, so beginning our honeymoon with this, its touching. Reporter and people from all over the world come to las vegas, and they are tonight. The strip is reopened after it was partially closed the last couple of days. People are out and about, walking around. This after sundays tragedy, a town still healing, but seems to be moving along. Veronica de la cruz shows us the president patted his own back a bit and passed out some paper towels. Yeah, ken, thats right. Tonight the governor of puerto rico upped the death toll from 16 to 34. The president paid a victim to storm victims, and passed out prizes, throwing paper towels into the crowd. I hate to tell you puerto rico, but youve thrown our budget a little out of whack. A bay area First Responder spent 24 days on the island. He was deployed for hurricane irma, and when Hurricane Maria took aim, his entire team of 270 people agreed to stay.
