San mateo bridge out of hayward into foster city, the westbound direction on the right side of your screen travel times still in the green. But its just under 20 minutes heading over to the peninsula there. We are seeing a major slowdown along the eastshore freeway. A peaceful candlelight vigil for 21yearold Scout Schultz took a dramatic turn when 50 protestors marched to the campus Police Officers. Investigators say schultz was carrying a knife when he was fatally shot by Campus Police saturday night. They also say he left behind three suicide notes. You can see 101 northbound here behind me near 280 to the bay bridge is the number one nightmare spot on the list of hot spots in the report released yesterday by the metropolitan transportation commission. It shows that the time spent in traffic jams in the bay area rose about 10 between 2015 and 2016. So thats 3 1 2 minutes for every working person in the bay area. And thats up 10 more or less from where it was in 2015. Reporter the worst is in San Francisco but its during the afternoon commute when its bad on this portion of 101 and eastbound 80. That is signs of snow coming down in the cascades. Very light flurries, some slush, but the western cascades already getting that because it is colder air up there.
