We could easily surpass 50 inches of rain by friday. The National Weather service has told me they are going to add a couple more color bars onto this particular map because they have never seen anything like this before. There are at least 9000 people here, but only 5000 cotts. Officials are working to give flood victims everything they need. We have pharmaceutical facilities, doctor zahn sites. People are getting their needs met. We have an emergency room and that can handle emergency needs. Reporter even though the shelter is far beyond capacity, they are not stopping evacuees from coming inside. Many of them are sleeping on floors. Really they just have the clothes on their back. Kenneth, you have been spending a lot of time with evacuees. What have they been saying . Reporter i talked to a man a little while ago who asked me for a ride out of town. He lives in maryland. He is a truck driver. He parked it overnight saturday into sunday and said he woke up with floodwaters coming into his cab. He was rescued by a volunteer firefighter on a boat and he has been staying here for the last couple of days. There was a mother i said there a couple of days ago, a woman and her small daughter, who were outside. They were just trying to get some sleep. So many people are still waiting inside, waiting to get inside this convention center. It truly is devastating listening listening to these stories. Thank you very much for your report. Reporter it has been a waiting game out here at the county lahore tell county courthouse in dublin. The lawyers for those suspects are trying to figure out if their clients will go before a judge and face charges today or if they will be released. The attorneys say six have now been cited and released, five remain in jail, including seth vasquez, james dominic, rachel moore, at joshua phillips, and yosinia mendez. Charges range from assault with a Deadly Weapon to violating city code. During the violence that broke out at mlk Civic Center Park on sunday, it started as a peaceful protest but then quickly changed, got rowdy, when a group in black masks descended on the park. The mayor has called out this group, calling them a socalled antifa group. He says they are a gang. The Berkeley Police chief has called out this group, but the lawyers for this group says that they were advancing progressive ideals. We hope that the berkeley, that the Alameda CountyDistrict Attorneys Office chooses not to charge these cases.
