They have just had one confirmed case, they are not calling this an outbreak yet but there are 30 prisoners showing symptoms. This is very serious like a severe form of pneumonia. So they are taking this very seriously. From chopper 5, you can see the calm but chaotic scene on the san quentin prison yard. Hundreds of inmates are lined up to get water. Also about 200 portapotties have been brought in for 3700 prisoners. Officials say they have shut off the water to the prison as they deal with the possible outbreak of legionnaires disease. It all started with one sick inmate yesterday. One of the patient tested positive for legionnaires disease. There were a number of other patients with symptoms also. Reporter its not contagious through body contact but often spread through water supplies. We are testing it the water. The fear is we dont want other individuals here at the prison to be impacted health wise by legionnaires disease. Legionnaires disease if its not handled appropriately can be deadly. Reporter Officials Say there are inmates showing symptoms across the entire prison, including death row. It is not isolated to any one unit. And a short while ago officials told reporters that in fact they are going to scrap the portapotties. They are going to let the inmates use their own toilets but they are not allowed to shower right now. He did tell police that he was tied up as the gunman grabbed the money and took off on foot. Bail is set for the two suspects charged with robbing and shooting a tourist on lombard street. They appeared in court this afternoon. No cameras were allowed in. The two men are charged with snatching a mans camera on tuesday, then shooting him when he chased them. The pair let police on a chase across the bay bridge. They were arrested near the oaklandemeryville border. We are hearing more today from the people who witnessed the latest Deadly Police shooting in oakland. Even though the officer was being attacked, some are questioning the use of deadly force. But first a new tool given to San Francisco police allowed an officer to save the life of a man who was overdosing on opiates. Officer mike malone is one of several officers trained to use the citys new rescue kit. Officer malone sprayed an antidote into a mans nose. This was a vicious unprovoked attack Reporter Police say the officer fired multiple shots killing the man. But some witnesses and neighbors criticized the use of lethal force. Indycar driver Justin Wilson was killed, struck in the head by flying debris from the accident in front of him. This sparked discussion about a closed cockpit to make racing safer.
