Wildfires have taken a deadly toll in washington state. Three firefighters were killed after their vehicle crashed nears twisp as they were battling a fire. Thats about 100 miles northeast of seattle. Several other firefighters were injured. The fast moving fires have forced residented and tourists to evacuate. Natasha chen reports from kiro. Reporter this flag is one of many now flying at halfstaff in twisp in honor ofthe firefighters who died battling a raging wildfire in the region. Authorities believe their vehicle was involved in an accident when their vehicle was overtaken by windswept plains. They were just trying to do their job and theres times when things go bad but the fight has to go on. Reporter as the fires continued scorching the area they fled the town. Thousands of people around the region have moved south for safety. I dont know how the government is going to pay for it, and i dont know how the people are going to rebuild, and now theres been loss of life. Its like horrible. Reporter firefighters are also trying to get a handle on another group of fires burning to the east, one of which prompted evacuations of both people and cattle in the town of conconully. So far the fires in chelan is about 50 contained. With more hot, windy, and dusty conditions expected the tide could turn in a moment. Natasha chen, cbs news. The wildfires have been spread in part due to the drought. A new study says conditions will lead to bigger wildfires, extinct wildlife and dry farm towns. The first email in 2011 was forwarded by aide huma abedin. The second email forwarded by aide Jacob Sullivan outlined reports of possible arrests in connection with the benghazi attack. The emails are among some 30,000 clinton turned over to the state department from her private server. On monday the state Department Said it had flagged 305 emails out of the 20 it has reviewed as potentialitily containing classified information. Clinton has insisted there was no classified information on her server. Whether it was a personal account or a government account, i did not send classified material and i did not receive any material that was marked or designated classified, which is the way you know whether something is.
