The fire is just 12 contained. 13,000 people in three counties are now under orders to evacwait after the fire jumped highway 20 and now covers more than 97 square miles. Thats about the size of the cities of sacramento. Cate cauguiran reports now from lake county. Reporter frank, maria, this is prime time for firefighters right now. Its cooler out. Theres more humidity. So right now ground crews are trying to get to the fire line while they still have access. Meanwhile Law Enforcement is still working to evacuate all the families that are in this area but still some are not leaving just yet. Were just waiting and watching and seeing hoe close it comes. Atierra westbrook was found dead in a crashed car yesterday morning. But investigators dont believe it was the crash that killed her. They werent tied down with any poles or anything. And they started going crazy. And people who were part of the circus just yelled run. We begin with the Daring Rescue in sunnyvale and it may have saved a mans life. A sheriffs deputy pulled a man to safety just moments before that northbound train smashed right into his car. The deputy who pulled that man from the wreckage did not want to be interviewed but we now have his name and his photo. Caltrain tweeted out this picture early this morning and on the right is Deputy Whited and this morning, hes being hailed as a hero. In this youtube video, you can see one deputy pulling the man in the light colored pants out of the car. You can hear the sound of the oncoming train. Seconds later, the train smashes right into the car knocking it off the tracks. The deputy watching it all as he drags the driver to safety. Watch again as the driver stumbles to the ground as the deputy pulls him to the curb. These deputies did not hesitate. They acted. Had they not acted who knows what would have happened . I believe because of their actions this person is alive today. Reporter a second deputy ran on the tracks toward the oncoming train the slow it down to slow it down. First of all the temperatures are dropping so thats certainly good news for the 3100 all rights that are trying to bat firefighters that are trying to battle this blaze out of control. From the San Francisco bay area to the north we have thunderstorm activity all associated with subtropical moisture and a good indication the weather is definitely changing as this. Its our live weather camera looking out from San Francisco towards the bay bridge and see all those clouds . Arent they just beautiful . Those clouds are also cumulus clouds and those generally signal that theres a chance of a thunderstorm developing and those thunderstorms are all associated with subtropical moisture. These clouds are roughly mid altitude clouds from 6500 feet up to about 20,000 feet. Gives you an idea of the ceiling out there this morning. Temperaturewise were in the 50s and 60s heading on out the door. Still mild in livermore at 65 and numbers today coming down. A good 1 1 degrees below average and many of the inland locations. Apple the undisputed king of Corporate America has a rock solid brands name and reputation, however theres a bit of trouble there. The companys stock has really been on the downward side of things over the past few months. In fact since it joined the dow in late march the stock is down over 7 and now 10 lower than its all time high. Thats entering into correction territory. This despite the company reaping record profits over the past year and topping expectations and the recent quarter but not enough for investors, but apple has a lot of exposure to the overall direction of the stock market. Now not only the dow but also 14 of the nasdaq. Its got that much of a waiting on the nasdaq and 4 on the s p 500. Where apple goes, the overall stock market has a tendency to follow and shares down another 2 this morning. Oil prices have been sliding again. Another big drop yesterday down to about 45 that continues to weigh on the big oil friends like chevron and exson each cutting costs to keep profits somewhere near where they have been. Theyre down over the past year, that too has been waking overthe on weighing on the overall market. Lets take a look at the big board and see where were going in the early part of it. The drive time is now up between the carquinez bridge and the maze its going to cost you a 26 minutes instead of the usual 19. And over at the richmondsan rafael span, traffic has been delayed and westbound once you pay the money traffic is okay heading across the bridge towards san rafael. No major delays for south 101 leaving southern marin this morning but its been another slow drive for north 101 leaving san jose bound for santa clara.
