Reporter oak lands Animal Shelter is over capacity. They have 230 dogs, many given up by their families. Owner surrenders are up 30 over last year. I think part of that is due to the fact that a lot of people are being moved out of oakland and there isnt enough housing that supports pet owners. Reporter the overflow means some dogs are doubled up, two to five in a cage. That creates more problems. We have a problem with kennel cough. There is broken glass all over the ground and investigators are trying to figure out how this mangled car ended up on somebodys front lawn. Police are investigating a mysterious homicide. Around 9 50 last night police got a report of a shooting on redwood at glenview circle where a car collided with three unoccupied cars. Black acura that was west bound on redwood parkway apparently left the roadway, struck two vehicles parked in a driveway and ultimately hit a third vehicle that was parked on the roadway. Reporter a man was found inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe he died of gunshot wounds. The victims name is not being released.
