A developing story. A horrendous scene in antioch where the driver of a stolen truck tried to evade police, ran a red light and slammed into a familys truck. New video into the newsroom tonight. A witness started taking pictures moments after it happened. You can see crews responding to help out the victims. Among them, two Young Children who are in critical condition. A woman was also hurt. It happened at summersville road near highway 4. Laura anthony has more from antioch. All you heard was an atomic boom. Reporter witness Paula Richardson says the sound was unimaginable on summersville road beyond her business. It started when one of the deputies tried to pull over the white truck, believed stolen. As the driver pulled on to the offramp, sped up and ran the light, slamming directly into the silver truck with three people inside, including two young girls. Obviously, the white truck hit the gray truck. My husband was on our motor home and said the truck went up on its side and debris flew all over it, exploded all over the place. While paramedics and firefighters worked to save the family inside the silver truck, police had the driver of the white pickup on the ground in handcuf handcuffs. Witnesses say the driver of the stolen white truck made no effort to slow down before he hit this silver pickup containing those two little girls and an adult. The chp is investigating a series of suspected attacks on tech shuttle buses. It happened yesterday on interstate 280 near woodside. Detectives need your help tonight. Chris nguyen has the story. Tonight the chp is investigating several reports of shuttle buses being attacked on interstate 280 between woodside road and foothill expressway. Its sad. Whats with this violence . I dont understand it. This picture shows the damage done to one of the buses. A total of five carrying apple and google employees that were hit yesterday with an unknown object. Now, i have to pay extra attention when im on the freeway. The unmarked buses which were carrying hundreds of tech workers between the city and the south bay were hit at different times throughout the day. Investigators believe the attacks were intentional. We believe that its not some rock that was kicked off the roadway but it might have been somebody thats theyre throwing something on to the buses or shooting something at the bus. Skies 7 was over the apple campus this afternoon as employees loaded shuttles bound for San Francisco. Last night the company told them the buses would be rerouted for the time being as the investigation moves forward, saying this change in routes could mean an additional 30 to 45 minutes of commute team in each direction for some of our riders. As always, the safety of our employees is the first priority. Those who travel along the corridor are stunned. To know that it can happen on something that so many travel and it seems so common. A fremont officer and suspect were injured following a wild confrontation in hayward after a second suspect hit them both with a second vehicle. According to the Blood Centers of the pacific, donations are down 13 since the beginning of the year. If youre not feeling healthy, youre not a prime candidate to donate blood. Thats one of the questions they asked online when you donate. Caitlin arnett discovered there was a need for blood and platelet donors and quickly made an appointment. Doing my research for where to go in San Francisco and in the bay area. I realized that there was a need. It said it on the website. The American Red Cross is also desperate for donations. Your help is needed to ensure patients continue to receive lifesaving treatments all winter long. The red cross reports because of the recent storms back east, there were 28,000 fewer donations than what was needed in november and december. And the bay area can send blood there cant send blood there if we have a shortfall. We have to have a strong local blood supply. We cant send blood anywhere. Priority number one, hospitals here, patients right here. Blood centers around the country called people to come in to give blood. Its a great way to spend your lunchhour.
