The storm system irtself is a couple hundred miles offshore. Clouds in place for much of the day. We have a couple of returns on live doppler 7 but the atmosphere still so dry that this is evaporating weave before it reaches the surface. Our storm system out to sea a couple hundred miles away from us. It is moving in our direction, and it will bring us our next chance of rain. Future weather, when do we expect rain . Tomorrow morning, 11 00 a. M. , thats when we expect that storm system close enough moving onshore that youll begin to see some drops reach the ground. With this storm system we do have a chance of seeing a thundershower. The Storm Prediction Center which monitors the entire u. S. For a chance of a thundershower is placing the region under an isolated chance any shower that does poppive could have lightning and hail. Well time out the storm system in a few minutes. People in san jose are still rebuilding from last years devastating floods and theyre not happy to see several days of rain in the forecast. Its been almost a year since san joses coyote creek flooded. Over president s day weekend you may remember an estimated 14,000 people had to evacuate their homes and apartments, some were literally carried to safety. The flooding caused just about 100 million in damage to public and private property. The repairs and rebuilding continue not just physically but mentally. Survivors arent looking forward to another rainy season. Abc 7 News Reporter david louis has their story now from san jose. Reporter leaves on the gutters could lead to clogged storm drapes. A 22yearold hayward man is charged with murder in the death of a Highway Patrol officer. Officer andrew cammalleri was killed Christmas Eve when his patrol car was rearended. Alameda county Sheriffs Department released this booking photo of ali from 2013, when charges against him for a burglary were dropped. Neighbors described ali as a great guy. New details about a Police Standoff in fremont today. Police say the suspect claimed he doused his body with a toxic chemical that would be dangerous to touch. That standoff started after police said the 28yearold suspect attacked his father this morning in his home in fremont before taking his fathers car. When the police recovered that car they found the suspect hiding in a wooded area near millcreek road. The standoff lasted 2 1 2 hours before the suspect was arrested at about 4 30 this afternoon. Police evacuated the nordstrom in Korda Madeira after an Armed Robbery of a u. P. S. Driver at the stores loading dock at the village of corda Madeira Shopping Center off highway 101 in marin county by tamalpais drive. Reporter from sky 7 you can see dozens of nordstrom employees standing outside the Department Store. Central marin police say they evacuated employees from the nordstrom around 10 00 a. M. After an Armed Robbery at the loading dock, a suspect armed with a semiautomatic handgun. It does appear there were nordstrom employees on the loading dock. Reporter the suspect got away in a white van. Police say someone else was driving. Police do not have a description of the armed suspect or the getaway driver. It does appear that the suspect was wearing some sort of mask. Reporter investigators are hopeful Surveillance Video will help them identify the suspects and the vehicle they left in.
