KOFFEE KUP BAKERY AND VERMONT BREAD COMPANY ARE BEING BOUGHT. NBC5'S CAROLYN SISTRAND.... SPOKE WITH THE POTENTIAL NEW OWNERS tonight... ABOUT THEIR PLANS TO GET BAKING AGAIN. CAROLYN. (áááLIVEááá) THE KOFFEE KUP NAME AND BELOVED TREATS... MAY BE ON THE WAY BACK. UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. THAT KNOWS SOMETHING ABOUT DONUTS AND OTHER SWEET TREATS. A CANADIAN COUPLE. WHO OWN A BAKING COMPANY. READY TO BUY TWO VERMONT BAKERIES. BLAIR HYSLOP AND HIS WIFE ARE THE OWNERS OF MRS. DUNSTER'S BAKERY. OUT OF NEW BRUNSWICK. THEIR PLAN WOULD KEEP THE FLAGSHIP BAKERY IN BURLINGTON. AND THE VERMONT BREAD COMPANY IN BRATTLEBORO... AND GET THOSE LOCATIONS BAKING AGAIN. A MONTH AFTER THEIR DOORS WERE CLOSED AND HUNDREDS OF EMPLOYEES WERE TOLD TO GO HOME. HYSLOP FEELS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR JOBS AND THE CONFUSION THAT RESULTED. WITH FORMER EMPLOYEES ACCUSING THE COMPANY OF NOT PAYING THEM FOR TIME EARNED THE BAKER IS BUYING THE COMPANY TO OPEN THE DOORS AGAIN. GET PEOPLE TO WORK AND THE GOODS TO PEOPLE THROUGHOUT NEW ENGLAND.
