Kodiak reported five new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the boroughâs active case count to 62. Two people are currently hospitalized.Â
Over the past seven days, there have been 32 new cases, according to numbers tracking the test dates of positive cases on the Kodiak COVID Dashboard. The highest single day in that time period was Jan. 4, when 13 people tested positive.Â
Three of the new cases were tested on Wednesday. The other two were from Monday and Tuesday.. Two were travel related, two were close contacts of previous cases and one was classified as community spread. The new cases bring the boroughâs total case count to 951 since the start of the pandemic.Â
