Developments after a confrontation at an off campus event and two south Bay Police Officers recovering after being hit during a shootout. We have an update on their conditions tonight. Good evening. A wet start to the weekend as a spring storm dumps rain all across the bay area. This is what it looked like in oakland just this morning. And it was really coming down at sfo. Two you can see all those raindrops on the camera there and the wet runway as a plane took off earlier today. All that rain moving out tonight, taking a live look across the bay area. You can see some some clouds up there. Looks like some sunshine there in the san mateo bridge. Rob mayeda is here to explain it all. Rob. By my standards, quite a bit of rain coming down more than the Monthly Average for a few spots around the bay area falling in just a day, including san jose. More than a half inch of rain came down mostly during the Morning Hours out towards walnut creek, close to an inch of rain and San Francisco. No shower passing through right now. 0. 95. Very close to an inch coming down during the day today. Now typically this time of year we see less than five hundredths of an inch of rain for areas south of santa rosa, but instead what we got today was a half inch to an inch and a half of rain that came down where we did exceed the Monthly Average in just one day. For places like santa rosa, San Francisco, concord and san jose. And its still coming down in a few spots. Not the widespread soaking rain we had earlier that has moved off to the east, but you can see here around the hills, the east of san jose, down the peninsula. A few more scattered showers here, while thunderstorms ongoing for areas north of yolo county and north of sacramento. Now, as we move forward into the sunday forecast, decreasing showers. So a somewhat drier finish to the weekend forecast and then another warm up on the way. Could see 70s and 80s returning in the 7day forecast. The timing on that coming up in about ten minutes. Thanks, rob. And as rob mentioned, snow is falling in the sierra right now. I80 is shut down in both directions due to spinouts and chains are required on highway 50. Now this is what it looks like on highway 50 near sierra at tahoe. You can see snow covering the roads here as cars slowly make their way to the summit. Now dont forget you can track the weather while youre on the go by downloading our nbc bay area app. Just point your phone at this qr code on your screen and it will take you straight to our radar. Follow up now on the two san jose Police Officers wounded during a shootout thursday night, Police Officers association tells us the officers who suffered critical injuries has undergone two successful surgeries and is now stable. Now, the second wounded officer continues his recovery as well, with less serious injuries. The shootout happened around 1030 at a hotel in san jose, santa teresa neighborhood officers were following up on a disturbance call when police say 33 year old Kevin Briones opened fire. Briones, who has a long criminal history, is now in custody on multiple felony charges. Now we are also learning more about the suspect in a freeway shooting that shut down interstate 80 in Solano County for hours late last night, the chp gave an update that the suspect was still alive after he apparently shot himself inside his own car. Initially, officers said the man was dead at the scene, but we now know First Responders were able to revive him at the hospital, where he remains right now in critical condition. Now. The chase started on highway 101 in Sonoma County after a woman reported someone firing a shot and hitting her car. Officers chased the suspect to i80 in fairfield, where he refused to surrender, they say, causing an hours long closure and massive freeway backup. Now an nbc news exclusive. We are learning after a uc Berkeley Student disrupted a private dinner hosted by a jewish law dean and his wife. The school is now investigating whether that students rights were violated. The incident was caught on video last month. I remember this you see professor Catherine Fisk scuffling with a Student Activist over a microphone just before the student could give a propalestinian speech. This happened during a private dinner at fisks home, where she and her husband invited graduating students over for a dinner. Her husband Law School Dean erwin chemerinsky, is jewish. Cal is now investigating a title nine complaint filed by the student, who was a leading organizer of campus protests after the incident. The couple said the clash only happened because the student refused to leave their home when they tried to kick her out during the protest. Fisk has not responded to a request to comment. Cal says it cant speak on a personal matter. The propalestinian camp at uc berkeley very active this weekend. Even in all this rain. It has been two weeks since they first set up camp tonight. The movement shows no signs of slowing. There are about 150 tents there and that number is growing. Students and Community Members are supporting the protest and saying they will not go home until their demands are met. They want the administration to divest from all companies that do business with israel, and they want the school to support an immediate cease fire. Meanwhile, an uptick in confrontations has some jewish students worried for their own safety. The school has increased security, they say, and is offering to escort students who feel uncomfortable. The propalestinian encampment and San Francisco state continues to grow. It began monday with perhaps 25 tents there. And as you see, its far more than that today, organizers say, because of donations of tents and tarps from the community, the rain did not impact demonstrators or food supplies. There the demands include disclose University Investments with companies doing business with israel, and divest immediately. We want the csu to be, transparent about where they are sending our money, and we want them to recognize and to divest from that funding so that we are not funding a war through our college tuition. A spokesperson for the encampment says there will be a rally monday afternoon, and theyre hoping University President lynn mahoney will be there to respond to their demands. Now, usc is taking a firm stance now against some propalestinian protesters. The university announced it will start conducting disciplinary reviews for some students involved. It says the reviews will apply to students that violated laws and school policies. Usc also says police will remain on campus through the rest of the school year and into graduation. Meanwhile, usc is changing its Graduation Plans first. The School Canceled the annual ceremony, but just two days ago, usc announced another celebration event at the l. A. Memorial coliseum for families and students. There will also be separate ceremonies for specific majors. New developments tonight in the israel hamas war. The white house says a deal for a cease fire and Hostage Exchange may be close to happening. A delegation from hamas is in cairo tonight. Egyptian media is reporting that there is noticeable progress in ceasefire talks, but no announcement is expected tonight. Israel Officials Say they will not agree to end the war as part of a deal to release hostages. They also say even if there is a temporary ceasefire, the Israeli Military will enter rafah in Southern Gaza and destroy the remaining hamas battalions. The United Nations says if israel carries out a military offensive in rafah, hundreds of thousands of people will be in danger. A tragic end to the search for two australians and a san diego man who disappeared during a surfing trip in mexico, mexican officials said today. They found four bodies in baja california, near where the men were camping. Theyre waiting for test results but believe the bodies recovered. Are the missing men and possibly another person who was traveling with them. The fbi is now involved. They say three people are under investigation in connection with this case. Drug cartels are active in the area, but authorities are not saying how or why they believe the men died. Still ahead, an east bay comic book store hosting its last free comic day. But wait a second here, they say its not necessarily the end of their story. Plus, Cinco De Mayo celebrations begin in the south bay. The events already underway, and the road closures youll want to know about. And while the widespread rain has moved out right now, still dealing with a few scattered showers around the bay area, how much more of this you can see started a movement. Thats right, flying colors comics in concord held their first Free Comic Book Day more than 20 years ago, and then today it held its final one at this location. Thats because, as Christy Smith tells us, this is not the end of their story. Flying colors comics in concord had comic books flying off the shelves. Today, its a Free Comic Book Day, an event that i founded back in 2001 that got its first event in early 2002. Owner joe field came up with the idea and it really took off. 60 countries do Free Comic Book Day, its, free comics for everyone who comes into the store. And its a its a happy day. Its a way for us to, maybe call back people who used to be comic book readers and for whatever reason, just need a little prod, its a way to thank our current customers. I really like comic books because it brings literature and artwork together in this really awesome way. But field says flying color comics, their time at this location at Oak Grove Plaza will be coming to an end. This is extra poignant today because this is free. Comic book day is the Worlds Largest comic book related event, and this is where it was founded. But this is the last one that will be in this location because weve lost our lease. Flying colors, comics opened its doors in 1988. Field says their lease is up in january, but the story does not end there. We will be moving to a new location. We havent announced where that is yet. It will be in the city of concord. Theyre trying to get a new location and keep it going, which is, you know, you got to think positive today. Plenty of comic book fans were here, both first time visitors and longtime customers. Well, some customers we spoke with say this is a regular event for them, but they also say the store offers a sense of community, the environment here that joe sets is wonderful. I like the people in the community, a sense of community, customers and readers hope will continue in the stores next chapter in concord. Christie smith, nbc, bay area news. Excitement is building today for Cinco De Mayo. Celebrations were in full swing early this morning in downtown san jose. Lots of people came out to a Cinco De Mayo themed car show. It took place in front of the sap center and barack obama boulevard. Hundreds of lowrider cars cruised through the streets. Several food trucks were there, and a beer garden were also set up. Organizers say the car show is a way to come together and showcase their culture. Its a culture and its her passion that were into cars or trucks, so yeah, its pretty cool that, we get to come out and put ourselves out here and its not just the cars. There was also different entertainment, including a mariachi band and cultural dances. Awards were also given out to honor some of those lowrider cars. Very cool. And a heads up if you have plans in san jose tonight, there are some road closures you need to know about. One lane of south Market Street around Plaza De Cesar Chavez is closed right now for the Cinco De Mayo salsa festival. Its expected to reopen at nine tonight. Now check out the road closures for tomorrows festivities as well. Just go to our website, nbcbayarea. Com. All right, lets get back to that spring storm that we all experienced today. Maybe not like this. Did this. Here we go. This video just posted a couple hours ago in cisco grove near i80. And you can see the snow coming down. Live. Look at palisades tahoe for you right now, what are we looking at . I think we got too much snow. Let it rub too much snow. We got snow and ice on the camera. So that really was palisades. Were not. We werent kidding about that. Resort closed anyway, right now. Opens at nine tomorrow morning. If you want some fresh powder to ski on. Calarts says may, but january, clearly there. Right now we got temperatures in the 20s, cold wind going there as were now in extra time for winter across the sierra. As you can see, 27 degrees at the tahoe airport. Weve had gusts of wind up to 60mph, low visibility, high snowfall at times that will drop probably another half foot to a foot of snow. Winter storm warning up through 8 00 tomorrow morning, so plan on more travel delays. Chain controls up. We should see decreasing snowfall as we head towards about this time tomorrow on into monday. Closer to home, the most sun weve seen all day long. Starting to break out now around the bay area. 56 chilly degrees in San Francisco had about an inch of rain, about a close to an inch of rain earlier today in San Francisco. Showers passing by oakland at 56 degrees and a little bit of partly cloudy skies in walnut creek. 57. Breezy about 8000 600 of an inch of rain coming down in the walnut creek area today. And san jose. More than a half inch of rain. No issues with rain shadows today around the santa clara valley, and well get a little bit more off and on tonight into early tomorrow morning. And then a warm up is on the way. As you can see in the 7day forecast right there at the bottom of the screen, we will see 70s and 80s making a comeback next week. Right now around the peninsula. Still some showers there near the airport around San Francisco and some pretty strong thunderstorms now firing up north of sacramento. And there is a look at all the snow in the sierra this time tomorrow. We should see more of that. Staying off to the east and into tonight, especially along the coast here. Santa cruz mountains and south of san jose heading towards tomorrow morning. Still a chance of some isolated showers there, but as we move forward towards the afternoon. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and a drier wrap up to the weekend, but get ready for some cold temperatures tomorrow morning. Were talking low to mid 40s. We havent seen lows this cold in about a month for most of the bay area, so even though we have most of the showers moving out, its going to be a cold start to your sunday morning. Then as we head towards lunchtime, 50s and low 60s for highs on your sunday. Thats about 10 to 15 degrees below average. But those temperatures, they start to recover as we head towards the middle part of the week. Notice tuesday and now wednesday. Compared to where we are now, its going to feel more like summer. Those inland temperatures again, just like we saw earlier this week, vaulting towards the 70s and 80s as High Pressure builds in right around that tuesday through thursday time frame, then trending a little bit cooler as we head towards next weekend. So the showers start to move out as we wrap up the weekend. Some chilly mornings ahead and then warmest days of the week. This looks like copy and paste for the forecast we had last week. We had 70s and 80s midweek next weekend, a few extra clouds. No rain just yet. Keep an eye on that trending a little bit cooler as we head towards next weekend. Youre not the suggesting i dont want to talk about it. Okay . Weve had such bad luck on weekends. This weathers already been this one. Its already been kind of all over the place. It has been. It has midweek looks great though. We know that. All right, well stick with that. Thanks, rob. Up next, bay area breaker is getting ready for paris. Well break down the moves. You need to know ahdea debut. Were talking about breaking tonight. The Elephant Graveyard crew gives us a demo. Some of the sports basic elements, to get you ready for paris. Whoa we started breaking the east bay, and they started breaking it in san jose. First, this top rock. Each part of the bay kind of has a different type of dance culture. And this is drops. This is footwork. Breaking and house were really mixed in the club scene in the 90s in the east bay. And that was kind of the only place where people could break was in the club. All right. Onto the power. My style through that is a little bit untraditional. And i think in san jose its a little different. Where i grew up was from the east side of san jose. So like king and like story growing up there and breaking there, i felt like the elements were more like, oh, you have to be more aggressive or like you got to do big hard moves. So thats where my style comes from. Or me and jamies come from. Yeah san jose has a really rich history in breaking dating back to even the 80s, sidewalk breakers and then into the 90s, hank lopez and a lot of, like, legendary crews. And then next we got freezes. Crews like sal elements, renegades, rock force, and then later on, like crews that more directly inspired us like headhunters and even rahuls other crew. Hybrid circle for soul shifters. And this is everything put together. And then later on, like our other friends, like eastside union, a lot of these guys like, were a part of our breaking journey coming up. I think berkeley always had the ethos of like originality and creativity. When i was first learning how to break here, like the biggest thing people always said was like, oh, you cant look like anyone else. Thats like something i still think about, like whenever i break, you know, like, what is like the thing im doing thats different. I got exposed to it as a kid by my brother from there, i would just always watch breaking footage. Vicious victor or flow master like, you see these names on youtube and then the more you keep breaking and the more you go out to travel, you end up meeting these people. And its like, dang. Like i just met rocks rider. I just met hong i10, or i just met wacko. Like people that inspire you. Its just like a really cool experience battling against some of them. Oh yeah, battling them is cool too. Yeah i think he thinks im joking, but george is really, like my favorite bboy. And i love all of these guys and they just inspire me to get better. Im like, oh man, im always climbing to try and keep up with them. Like, it always gets me motivated to keep training and to keep like pushing for my goals. Nbc bay area is your home for all things olympics. Our Jessica Aguirre is going to be in paris bringing you stories about our local athletes. The Opening Ceremony 83 days away. Oh, its a photo of the derby. Thats it. Thats what you watched right here. The 150th running of the kentucky derby. And as you can see, the end was incredibly dramatic. At first, it wasnt clear who won. Turns out mystic dan finished just ahead of sierra leone. Sierra leone has a reputation for being a deep closer, holding off for much of the race and then charging ahead on the final stretch. But today it just wasnt enough. Mystic dan, who entered at 16 to 1 odds, took the trophy and the 3. 1 million purse. Im just looking at this finish again. Its a nose, a hair. It is i they always say they won by a nose. This was like won by a nostril. So you guys dont know this. But terry right now has horseshoes on his tie i do. Hes very committed to this story. Yeah. I am very committed to this story. It was. You know, i didnt have purpose, right . Yes. It is today. It is. Yes. Last time i wore it. There we go. Oh yeah. All these little horseshoes. Yeah. Horseshoes all kind of configured around each other. And im told its a really cool tie. And on this day , its the perfect tie. Perfect tie . Yes. All right, still ahead on nbc. Californians are paying billions of dollars for a new Health Care Initiative to help our most vulnerable, like our seniors, the unhoused and people with mental illness. But in the east bay, part of the program is accused of cutting some dangerous corners. A whistleblower tells us Contra Costa Health plan is ignoring medical needs, inflating caseloads and harming patients. Its been heartbreaking. Its been really heartbreaking, because we are supposed to be, helping these patients, this Contra Costa Health nurse says some of the countys most fragile and medically complex patients are being left in the lurch. There are people who are unhoused. Some of them have been going to the hospital er multiple times in a week. A patient who had a diabetic ulcer was given to a nonmedical staff , nonclinical staff. They then didnt address it. A full body infection happened. He needed to have his leg amputated. Its not just this one case. And she says its not the staffers fault incidents like this, she says, occur regularly through Contra Costa Healths enhanced Care Management, or ecm benefit provider, through californias new cal aim program. Were transforming medical. Its our journey to a healthier california for all. According to the department of Health Care Services, cal aims ecm benefit is supposed to address clinical and nonclinical needs, meaning both medical and social care assistance. But in contra costa, the nurse and three other sources familiar with the system tell us the program has abandoned medical assistance altogether. Rather, they say, ecm case managers who are nurses who were already with the system before the program started, are now being instructed to focus only on social needs, like a members access to a shelter or fresh food, or their nonclinical staff, like housing specialists who arent trained to properly refer medical issues at all. Theyve been told if they dont understand what a Health Condition is, they just should google it. That sounds potentially dangerous. Its extremely dangerous. Its negligent. Do you have firsthand knowledge of patients being harmed or dying as a result of this . Yes yes they do. One fatal case, she warned supervisors and county officials about through email last year involved a patient saying he couldnt get out of bed a nonclinical staff member unknowingly labeled this patient as bed bound, and the rest of his care team treated him as such by only providing telephone visits as a result, the patient didnt get out of bed for months, and his bed sores turned into bone infections. He later passed away, according to her email. Another ecm patient she emailed about received no discussion of health needs or Health Interventions for a year. When he was clearly sick, he was on deaths doorstep, then passed away a month later. I tried so hard to report this internally and those concerns were both dismay first and then. I also received just the extreme hostility abusive treatment. We reached out to Contra Costa Health ceo anna roth. She declined our interview request. Instead, kim mccarl, their communications officer, spoke with us. Our members Clinical Care needs address. So the way that our model is set up, no, except that ecm is a part of the entire care model. But i was looking at this states description of ecm, and it seems to be pretty clear. It says here ecm is a comprehensive Care Management benefit to address both clinical and nonclinical needs for the highest needs members. So why isnt that happening in Contra Costa County . Because we dont need to. So so Contra Costa County is what we call an integrated system. So we have a whole clinical arm and we have a whole ecm arm. And so we dont need to have our ecm program provide Clinical Care because our our clinic system does that. But it doesnt always. And cases fall through the cracks. Thats what the department of Health Care Services found in a 2023 audit of Contra Costa Health after receiving anonymous complaints, the state found patients complained about not receiving enhanced Care Management services in one case, a comprehensive history and physical examination wasnt completed, and without proper assessments, the state said patients may not receive important behavioral and medical Health Screenings that can help identify and prevent illnesses. This the state know that Contra Costa County is not providing Clinical Care through its ecm program. Yes, when we reached out to the state, a spokesperson repeated in an email, both clinical and nonclinical needs must be addressed by ecm teams. There are a lot of taxpayer dollars involved. Contra costa health took in nearly 3 billion in medical revenue in 2022 and 2023. Of that, it spent 56 million on ecm, according to the state. I think that its wrong. This nurse says shes concerned cutting corners on medical allows the system to report more patients to the state to get more funding. It gives them an excuse to really inflate caseload sizes and, because by ignoring clinical needs, theyre then its then okay, its totally manageable to manage just the social needs of 100 patients. Contra costa health denies that serving more medical. Ecm members means more money for the system. The state actually determine is the formula upon which we get paid, so having more of them is not a financial benefit to us. So we checked what other Health Systems are doing la care plan and San Francisco health plan tell us their ecm benefits address clinical and nonClinical Care. But in alameda county, alameda Alliances Program appears to be similar to contra costas, although we havent heard of any issues there currently. Contra costa health says its working to correct the problems detailed in that audit. Labor department. Now, those numbers may seem low, but its actually an improvement from 30 years ago. One man saw that steady rise and decided to create a platform to tell these executive stories. Heres nbcs fernando hurtado. When Pedro Guerrero graduated from grad school in the early 2000, there was one National Magazine covering latinos in Corporate America hispanic business. Yeah, at the time, 1 in 10 people in the us was hispanic. And that number was growing rapidly. I thought, wouldnt it be nice to see latino stories told in in a way that were designed better, written better and better quality paper. Right, because there wasnt anything out there that i saw that that story. Guerrero left his sales job at a construction magazine to launch a competing Construction Trade publication. He used the money from that venture to launch hispanic executive in 2006. The publication would tell the stories of latinos in powerful positions across american companies. One of my first concerns was that we were going to run out of latinos to highlight, and, you know, we never did. And we still have it today. Hispanic executive is part of a larger company, guerrero, which operates other publications and boasts interviews with everyone from politicians like Julian Castro to actor entrepreneur jessica alba. The chicago based businessman credits his success to this business. This time. 58 chilly degrees and more than a half inch of rain did fall today, so decreasing showers for this evening might see a few lingering showers just very early sunday morning, and then partly cloudy skies as we count down to the warm up that returns for the middle part of the week. Right now, the radar view shows you some rain from East Palo Alto approaching fremont a little more here near danville and into san ramon. Whats left of these showers kind of the leftovers of the main weather system. The rain band that passed through. These are the scattered showers. Well have to contend with at times for the evening, and perhaps even into early tomorrow morning. Notice the best chances to find those showers will be right there near the coast, Santa Cruz Mountains and the hills east of san jose for the morning. And then we should see more sunshine and partly cloudy skies for tomorrow afternoon. One big change tomorrow morning. Its going to be cold outside, so if you want to go for a morning run, youre going to need that thicker winter jacket. As you can see, weve got low 40s, even 30s around clear lake to start the morning. And as we head towards lunchtime, mostly 50s around the bay area and highs still below average, but more sunshine in your sunday forecast. Upper 50s to low 60s now moving forward monday, tuesday and wednesday. A steady progression upward with those temperatures 60s and 70s for tuesday. And then by wednesday and thursday should see highs into the low 80s inland. A lot like the pattern we had just this week. So here is the reason why temperatures warm up. High pressure moves in that will keep the week dry. Then as we get towards next weekend, one item to watch is an upper level low. Now thats going to move in around saturday. Notice not a lot of moisture associated with it. Really the opposite of what were seeing outside right now if a lot of moisture. But there is a slight chance might see a few showers trying to pop up. Heres the early outlook to next weekend. Thats why were saying stay tuned for next weekend, as we may see a slight chance of showers. Now, keep in mind we had a half inch to an inch and a half of rain come down today. Nothing like that on the horizon, but thats the reason why the end of the 7day forecast, which includes kids next weekend, might see some changes after that midweek warm up. So we repeat the pattern of these midweek warm ups, kind of that summer preview of 70s and 80s inland that will take us tuesday through thursday and then, yes, stay tuned to next weekend. Were not going to get a soaker like we had today, but there might be a few isolated showers. Not as cold either. Not talking about snow levels down to 4000ft in may like were seeing right now, but watch that forecast as we head towards next weekend. Stay tuned. Its very ominous. Yeah, its not bad. Its not like today where we had a lot of rain getting its getting its getting it will be okay. Itll eventually turn dry on weekends again. Thank you. Thank you both. All right. Up next, a couple of big stars in the newest movie to hit theaters. How its faring so far this weekend at the box office. And a quick reminder, you can now access nbc bay area news whenever you want. We are on 24 7 on roku and other streaming platforms. There you can watch live breaking news, news conferences and repeats of our newscasts any version of its rainbow colored candies. Now, in a stunt to get people interested in these new skittles littles. Okay thats catchy. Ill give them that. The company is offering up this skittles inspired microapartment in new york city. Looks like the barbie set. Yeah, a lot of color. The winner of this contest gets to live here rent free for a year. And the tiny unit is in manhattans kips bay neighborhood, where similar apartments rent for more than 3,000 a month. The 353 square foot space was decorated by an interior designer, who is popular on tiktok. Wow. Now, just in time for may the 4th, the smithsonian air and space museum is getting a new artifact in honor of star wars day. Today, the museum is unveiling a brand new display a boeing cv two cargo air vehicle dressed as a star wars xwing starfighter. Its essentially a big drone that can carry up to 500 pounds. Disney and boeing teamed up to outfit those drones as xwings that flew over the opening of star wars galaxys edge back in 2019. When youre here in the museum, you can see it in its kind of normal, actual form. But when we actually flew it, we did some theatrical tricks. The kind of this overdressing you see is actually made of uv reactive paint and dyes. Thats how we actually kind of create the illusion of its a flying xwing without seeing some of the technical gak that makes it all work. Thats pretty cool. Its on permanent display at the museums udvarhazy center thats just outside washington, dc. All right, a new film with a couple of big names has hit the theaters. Thats me. Colt seavers, and this is my heros journey. The fall guy stars ryan gosling and emily blunt. It is clearly action packed. And if you remember the fall guy tv show, this is along the same lines. Its the same kind of thing, but it hasnt had a lot of action in theaters so far. Movie is projected to make 28 million bucks this weekend, that would leave it a bit short of industry projections. We should note the movie is produced by universal, which is owned by our parent company, and i do want to say its got 87 on rotten tomatoes. Thats pretty good. Yeah. You did your research. I just did. I didnt know why i was not doing great. It should be doing great. Well saturday night live is all new tonight, and music sensation dua lipa is pulling double duty, playing both host and musical guest. The pop star just released her third album, radical optimism. This will be her third visit to studio eight h. But her first time as host. The singer says that she appeared in a sketch last time she was on the show, and it made her want to host. And i just got such a kick out of performing with bowen and kristen wiig, and i just loved the experience. So much. And, yeah, its always been a dream of mine to host, but to, to that was kind of like the thing that just changed everything for me. Now you can watch snl right here on nbc bay area starting at 830, or catch an encore after our 11 00 newscast. This is the day to say this. May the 4th be with you. The special visit for some lucky bay area star wars fans today. Hey, that story right there is next then san leandro celebrated the day in a very special way. It all happened at george mark childrens house. Its a nonprofit that provides children with medical care. You can see chewbacca and r2d2. There he is, r2d2, stop by today. Its not everyday for our patients and families to meet characters from star wars, and for them to engage with characters up close. It provides them a different kind of joy. It takes them away from their current situations, theyre practically whisked away to a different galaxy far, far away. Wow. Well said. Yeah organizers tell us many of the patients and their families are star wars fans. So such a special day, very special day. And he said it so well takes him far, far away. Yeah.
