Reporter they want the ninth circuits decision reversed. David chu says the city wants to balance its Compassionate Services first approach while making sure its sidewalks and public spaces are safe. This is the real issue, the impediments under grants pass and the courts have imposed. Its a real issue. To identify people and families at risk of becoming unhoused, and it offers those people support to help get them stabilized and remain housed. It launched in 2021 and is credit with serving nearly 800 individuals and families so far. Giving them between 4,000 and 8,000, 86 have been able to stay housed. The program operates out of Los Angeles Department of health services. New at 11 00, a petaluma bar was shut down this weekend after police say security assaulted a customer. The person said he went into the bathroom and got into an altercation with security. Five guards removed him from the bar. Outside a witness told police they saw the guards put the man in a chokehold and punch him. Police arrested the guards, and they continue their investigation. Police are asking for help solving a hitandrun in San Francisco late this afternoon. A driver hit a man who was on an electric scooter, and the driver took off. Paramedics took the man to the hospital. Hes in critical condition. Anybody who saw anyone is asked to call San Francisco pd.
