Although we have the clouds certainly on the increase. The rainproducing clouds will arrive later tomorrow. But first step will be the wind. Well see the wind speeds picking up as we move into the afternoon. By mid afternoon, wind speeds 15 to 30 Miles Per Hour around the bay area. And around this time tomorrow night the wind speeds will start to come down as the frontal boundary starts to move. Its the evening till about 11 00 this time tomorrow night where the rain does drop into the south bay. Right now, about a quarter inch of rain for areas south of San Francisco. Higher totals, close to three quarters of an inch possible. Then one more chance of rain before wind and warmer temperatures in the sevenday forecast. How much rain to expect and when upper it is one of the most dramatic mishaps on a commercial flight in recent memory. Now the Justice Department is reportedly getting involved, opening an investigation into the door plug blowout on that alaska flight. Nbcs george solis has the details. Reporter tonight, the Justice Department now opening a criminal investigation into that midair scare on an Alaska Airlines flight involving a max nine jet where a door plug blew out over portland, according to the wall street journal. Investigators contacting pilots, flight attendants and even passengers on board the flight that was forced to make an Emergency Landing where forgely fornt fortunately, no one was hurt. The focus of the investigation is whether they complied with a settlement from crashes in 2018 and 2019 that killed 346 people. The Company Providing no comment to nbc news. Theyre going to look pretty seriously, is this a oneoff or systemic. Reporter in preliminary report last month, the ntsb found four bolts used to keep the door in place were missing. A statement saying its normal for the doj to be conducting an investigation. We do not believe we are a target of the investigation. News of the investigation comes as the ntsb has blasted boeing for failing to turn in records go the blowout, a claim the company refutes. But in a letter, boeing revealing they cant find any documentation of the removal of the door plug. Thats probably not a good answer either. Its a horrible answer. When i read that, i was shocked, that one, they dont have the documentation. Theyre required to have that documentation. If not, were talking about a much deeper problem of procedural compliance. Hundreds of middle and High School Kids of all backgrounds came out to cal state east bay in hayward for a summit and the organization black men in white coats. Kids were invited to learn cpr, take workshops, listen to speakers and connect with counselors. The patients engage more. Theyre more likely to come into appointments, and our goal is through that shared culture, we can provide care that is culturally humble, culturally appropriate, and in the end its to decrease the disparities in things we see like blood pressure, cancers, heart disease. And the rain starting off in the north bay will march southward as we head into tomorrow night. So the main event with this particular storm, ending in the pacific northwest. It will be this boundary right here that drops into the north bay late in the day. And youll see this as we go hour by hour all the way through 5 00. Nothing really yet down into marin county until we get to about 11 00 at night. You can see it crossing through the central bay area. Before the monday morning commute, skies clear up. In fact, monday looks relatively dry. Then round two drops in as we head into monday night, and a pretty similar time frame here. Second system coming in for monday night into early tuesday morning. And then the skies start to clear on out once again. Rain totals here, as we take a look at the second weather system. This monday night into tuesday. Similar to the totals we should get whats coming in for tomorrow night and early monday. Generally about a third of an inch of rain. Locally a little higher here for some of the hills of the north by and into san jose. The light blue, about a quarter inch or less. Not a lot of rain with either of those two weather systems perhaps. More interesting if you like warmer weather is whats headed our way for the middle part of next week as High Pressure builds in. Leads to drier weather. Low pressure drops into southeastern california, and that may give us a bit of a wind tunnel effect through the bay area. That by wednesday and thursday, if youre in the hilltop areas of the north bay or diablo range, wind advisories might be possible on thursday. But look at the impact on temperatures. Low 70s on thursday. Then, as we move forward into friday and saturday, less wind, more warming. Mid to upper 70s possible now as we head into next weekend. It will feel more like spring after we get through these two rain chances over the next two and a half days. First one coming up tomorrow, mainly an evening rain event. And another one coming in for tuesday morning. Then we can enjoy the warm temperatures that could be above average for a change. For a weekend. So look at that. Back into the 70s starting thursday and may continue for about five to seven days the way things are looking right now. Could be sticking around for a while. But youve warned about the rain tomorrow.
