A lot of people saying we have to eat dinner outside today. How is the weather going to look for us . Its going to be nice, but windy at times. Were starting out cool this morning. But it will be all clear today and we are going to see some frosty conditions in some of the valleys, especially going into the weekend. But next week theres still no rain in the forecast and if you will be having dinner outside today, lets head to napa. Well see our temperatures for this afternoon reaching into the mid 60s so its going to be perfect temperature wise. But those winds will be kicking up and at times when they see the gusts over 30 Miles Per Hour and then cooling off quickly as we head into the evening. So have dinner early. Lets get you out on the roads this morning. As we take a look at our overall view of the traffic maps this morning, were starting out with a smooth commute. No issues for the overall drive, so were looking good. Were going to also see hopefully safe conditions out there if you are working. You dont have to worry about the commute and maybe you can enjoy your couffee and hang out with us a little bit longer. Well talk about the forecast and the traffic coming up. Happy thanksgiving, kira. Happy thanksgiving, kari. Beginning today, extra enforcement in Santa Clara County and firefighters will be on the look out for businesses violating health orders. The work with covid compliance officers who can fine businesses on the spot. Businesses limited to 50 capacity and Retail Stores 25 . Customers Must Wear Masks and social distance. Public Health Officials continue to plea with people not to have large family gatherings. Santa clara county in the midst of a third wave of infections and likely the worst so far. It is quickly stretching the countys medical resources. Just yesterday 68 icu beds were available during the morning countywide senses resources. By the afternoon, 20 people have been sent to icus leaving only 48 beds now available. Thats troubling and really quickly dwindling number for a county with more than 2 million residents. All the way from gilroy to Mountain View and palo alto and los gatos. We have collectively few numbers of beds. The highest spike we have observed in the county. Every day there are now over 500 new cases diagnosed. The only thing that will help right now is public taking action to flatten that curve. County leaders are asking people to call family members instead of going over to thanksgiving dinner and take other precautions like wearing the mask and keeping social distance from people who are not in each others households. Lets take a social look at those numbers. The daily new cases in Santa Clara County. Look at july. The county reported 386 cases in one day on july 15th. That was at the height of the summer surge. Well look at where we are right now. 532 new iscases on november 17t. That is the record high for the county and it shows the cases are continuing to trend upward. All Outdoor Dining across most of Los Angeles County is now shut down for at least three weeks. Many Restaurant Owners are worried theyll be forced to close for good. And across the country, the Supreme Court is blocking an attempt to limit attendance in houses of worship in new york even in areas hard hit by the virus. That ruling came down overnight. Lets get a live look outside from belvedere looking towards San Francisco and were seeing all Clear Conditions out there. Temperatures have also been cooling off quite a bit. Let me show you our High Temperatures for today because its going to be a great one, whether youre having dinner outside or just opening up the windows to let in some fresh air. Well see temperatures in morgan hills today reaching 64 degrees and 65 in gilroy and for the east bay high of 65 in antioch and oakland reaching 64 degrees. But were also looking at some 60s along the peninsula and the coastline. Some gusty winds picking up there and the Marina District today reaching 60 degrees. Well see some low 60s for parts of the north bay and clear lake. 61 in sonoma today. 64 degrees. So heres a look at our forecast. If youre going to be having dinner outside, in spots like gilroy, once again, reaching 65 degrees. We will see that High Temperature if youre planning your dinnertime for the warmest part of the day. How about 3 00 to 4 00. Cool down quickly after that. Have dinner outside early if thats your plan. But its also going to be windy. Lets go through this wind forecast. So, with those high winds, its going to make it feel a little bit cooler even with the sunshine and then the winds will gradually start to calm down as we head into tonight. But its ares still going to bee gusty even into the evening. Reporter together they are preserving the story of the czu lightning complex fire and one object at a time. Theres something about the objects and the importance it has to that person that tells a story about their life. Reporter as a news photographer, he spent ten days in august on the fireline capturing images of the flames. It was only after they died down, though, he realized he wasnt done telling the story. The idea of lost and found was maybe one of these ideas that i just woke up with in the middle of the night going, you really need to document this. Hi, paul. Reporter lost and found is the name he and missy have given their project. They put out a call for those who lost everything in the czu fire to bring them something pulled from the ashes.
