A small but steady line outside of this trader joes in san jose. The store has been limiting capacity that leads to the lines that are only likely to get longer. Some people not in that line were people from the Salvation Army. For 60 years, theyve been bringing meals to people in San Francisco not able to leave their homes. They plan well ahead of time and that is not changing. Cdc guidelines are preventing the organization from its traditional turkey carving and meal prep events. A few spots around the bay area will be dropping into the low 30s around the north bay. Though the weekend will end with more clouds but not essentially looking at increasing rain chances. So that is the story as we wrap up the month of november, which includes thanksgiving day. We may have to watch the wind at times, as we go through the next few days. Outside, it is a very nice evening. We had a gorgeous sunset. Thats the view around San Francisco. Temperatures cooling under partly cloudy skies, currently at 61 degrees. May see some patchy low clouds trying to form as we head towards the morning. The view in walnut creek, 59 degrees. In san jose, another nice view, 59 and the wind out of the northwest at 5 miles per hour. So as marianne was talking about, we have some cold temperatures to start things off. A combination of thirties to low 40s. A few patches of fog, maybe not as much as we have had, as the air has dried out, with a little bit of a north breeze at times. Notice what happens tomorrow. Highs again in the low 60s. But a shield of increasing mid and high level clouds. So some of those clouds around mendocino county, during the day may try to toss a few widely scattered showers for areas north of sonoma county. Look how it washes out. So even though we might see sprinkles before 11 00 tomorrow night after sundown, nothing is adding up in the rain gauge. So thats the unfortunate aspect of the forecast. Weaker weather system is moving through, not even for the north bay. So what were getting now is a snapshot of where the forecast is headed, all the way through the holiday week ahead. Youll see thanksgiving there. Breezy as the system that brings us the clouds tomorrow moves out. A little taste of north winds picking up. Doesnt look to be too strong, so thats the good news. But with the not so good news is the transition to a much drier extended forecast. As you can see here, the longrangeout look that takes us through the week, that rain will take us into next weekend. So the item to watch, speaking of thanksgiving day into friday could be the breezes. Some drier offshore winds, wind speeds not expected to be too strong. Unfortunately, thats more of an october pattern and were seeing it again the next seven days. Coming up at 6 00, well take a longer view of the outlook into december to see if we can change our fortunes and be thankful for rain to make a comeback next month.
