Now hes got to switch the game plan again. In order to make sure local hospitals arent overwhelmed with covid19 patients the Health Officer says risky inside activities need to stop. Starting tuesday, no indoor gym work outs. The gym shouldnt have been open in the first place in my opinion. I dont want to hurt anyone. We want to keep everyone safe. Well follow the guidelines. Speaking of guidelines. Governor newsom admitted he failed to follow one of his own. Last week they celebrated with friends from different households at the French Laundry restaurant. Officials have been warning for weeks social gatherings are fuelling the coronavirus surge. The governor said while our family followed the restaurant Health Protocol and took safety precautions, we should have modelled better behavior and not joined the dinner. He needs to have a life too. Hes working so hard. I dont think he understands whats happening to us. During this. This has been the hardest year to endure ever. Just today the state top doctor released an alarming graphic. On california covid cases. Why the state is so worried right now. Lets look at the week of june 15. The state saw a huge spike in cases. A 39 increase in just the week. After we saw the huge summer surge. And started going down. Last week. The week of november 1. A 47 increase and larger spike. Which is why state and county Health Officials believe were headed for more trouble if we dont clamp down now. Alarming numbers today. In the past two weeks the positive rate has gone up 3 to 4 . Hospitalizations up 35 . And icu admissions up 37 . What about thanksgiving . Are you planning on traveling . Tonight a holiday request from california, oregon and washington. Please stay home. Or if you do travel, quarantine for 14 days. The states are stressing this is an advisory not mandatory. It comes as they are seeing a surge in cases. The states are making the request to nonessential travelers. Heres another issue. Whats this mean for the families there with kid away at school . Going to college. We have been talking to a family about this difficult decision. What do you do when your kids come home . That is the question. Such a turkey toss up. Parents we all want kids home for the holidays with us. We want to spend thanksgiving with them. Doctors say at this juncture we need to do a Risk Assessment of whether its worthwhile to come home. Do you have older adults in the home . Can you expect them not to give grandma a hug. Should grandma be at the dinner to begin with. College campuses have been a hot spot for coronavirus infections. Now the governor is asking anyone who comes into the state to quarantine 14 days. Is that even practical or possible . She has been hyper vigilant about talking to her daughters about the virus and she feels they are in a good situation to come home. Since both are taking the max precautions. And at the time of the attack, he was collecting shopping carts in the parking lot. The victim doesnt appear to be in physical contact with the suspect prior to the assault. After two weeks in a coma. His daughter witnessed a miracle. He reached for my hand. And opened one of his eyes. He was holding my hand. Food max still hasnt responded to my request for comment. And police are still not saying exactly what led up to the attack. Just they hope the photographs lead to the people involved. Update on the man convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a couple five years ago. Today we learn the 43 yearold has been referred to a Mental Health agency and will not face a state jury trial any time soon. The bizarre crime made national headlines. He was convicted in a federal trial of kidnapping. A couple. Then raping her before dropping her off in southern california. The crime was so bizarre. At first police believed it was a hoax. What about this proposal of a four to six Week National lock down . Would that be helpful . I think again its probably seen as extreme by some.
