The fact is, the virus is spreading. And we have to make the hard decisions. San Francisco Mayor announcing a new set of roll backs for the city. After cases jumped nearly 250 since october. Were asking for a lot. To sacrifice. So we can get back to life as we know it. This is hard. The changes include the rolling back of Indoor Dining at restaurants, bars and other indoor venues around the city. Fitness centers and theaters have to keep capacity to 25 or 50 people. Down from 100 people. And high schools have yet it reopen will have to remain closed. Without the changes city officials fear we could see a surge in cases greater than the summer. The weather pattern is shifting. This will drastically impact our operation. Brian is the general manager of the epic steak. The business has seen the fair share of financial struggles as a result of pandemic. And afraid the latest roll back prohibiting inside dining will make it worse. So what does that mean when you move to the red . Restaurants, indoor capacity cut from 50 to 25 . Thats frustrating for restaurant owners. Especially because those colder temperatures that we have been talking about will mean fewer people can eat outside. Being at 25 again its not a surprise. Rates tick up. We knew it was a possibility. The big adjustment is that we are dealing with something new every day. Red tier also means that theaters have to close again. Retail cut back to 50 . Gyms going back to 10 capacity. Santa cruz the board walk is also shutting down. Again. These are eleven counties. What this means is potentially other counties will follow. In fact the state said expect that in the next coming weeks well see more counties moved into a more restrictive tier. The reality is, cases are going up its getting cold. Were inside. The danger is real. Coming up in the next months. It will be a difficult winter. We all need to do our part to make sure we make this the best possible situation we can. By doing the right thing. The problem with testing is that testing is not a replacement for the types of social distancing and masking and really careful limitation of the contact. Testing can be that added assurance. Recognizing we have false positives and false negatives. They are not 100 . I speak for a lot of people this thanksgiving of all the thanksgivings that we have lived through perhaps the moe important for mental health. Is that taken into consideration . Yes. We all have to acknowledge we are tired of doing all of these measures. Were tired of not seeing our loved ones. I think we have to acknowledge that. We have to acknowledge that the threat is real.
