Thats where we did see some winds anywhere from 40 to 60 Miles Per Hour. Mt. St. Helena up to 60, grizzly peak up to 38. At a stark contrast here, you go down to lower elevations and much less in the way of wind. Calistoga, only 10 to 15mileperhour winds as we head to this evening. We are not showing that to protect the persons privacy. The dresseddown officers are in a oneyear, twice a Week Pilot Program of deescalation training. Its been more than 24 hours now since an endangered lemur vanished from the San Francisco zoo and now zoo officials are offering a reward in hopes of drumming up more clues about his disappearance. Sometime monday morning, San Francisco police said it looked like someone broke into his habitat and stole them. The zoo animal is one of the oldest endangered lemurs and cant survive without the care of its experts. They are offering a 2500 reward for a tip that leads to maki, 100 for every year of his life. We are aware that there is a black market for wild animals, and so thats an avenue that we are looking into, and we know that people find these the lemurs really cute. So is it possible someone stole this animal to keep it as a personal pet . If you see maki or have any nfrgs about where he is, you are ask information about where he is, you are asked to call the police department. You are asked not to pick him up. And one of the spots that really has had some of those gustiest winds has been mt. St. Helena. We did reach up to 60 Miles Per Hour overnight. Youll see in my forecast how things do start to taper off as we move through tomorrow morning. By 9 00 a. M. , well look at winds about 26 Miles Per Hour and will continue to drop as we head through the rest of tomorrow. Temperatures, i dont have a big drop as we move through tomorrows forecast. It will stay very warm inland. 96 in antioch, 95 livermore, san jose 93, San Francisco 84. Again, oakland at 93 and santa rosa 95. All this heat, not only what weve seen the past two weeks, but for the past three and a half months now really starting to take a toll on the draught. It is expanding and youll be able to see here 12. 74 in california now in an extreme draught. 6 to 16 inches below from the last rain season and snowpack only 52 of normal. Were beginning to see that extreme draught right there entering into napa county. So, obviously, high fire danger, some crop damage and also even some pasture loss. People in the foothills and Santa Cruz Mountains have their power cut, but they hope theyll be taken out of the dark sooner than expected. Meanwhile other parts of the south bay concerned theyll lose power tonight as well. Power went out at midnight in this milpitas neighborhood, about 20 homes, which, along with parts of east san jose, are part of the Public Safety power shutoff zone. That means pg e could turn off power to more homes and businesses later tonight. In terms of, you know, if were kind of a little fearful, obviously, because we do rely a lot on the wifi and especially, you know, working from home has been a little extremely challenging. I was at work and our power went out, man, and it was nobody knew. We didnt know how long it was going to be out for, it would just be good to have a headsup. When you add another additional rent control burden, you create all this uncertainty in the housing market. Hes one of the groups raising concerns if prop 21 is passed, both for renters and for owners. The consequences of Something Like prop 21 could potentially force a bunch of small landlords into foreclosure. Reporter he said if landlords rents are capped, its tougher to stay in business, therefore knocking more off the housing market. California decided on a similar proposition in 2018 these greedy landlords reporter proposition 10 was turned down by a wide margin. We have tried to keep you updated on this one, and i want to show you this Interesting Data thats come in about longer streaks of 100s, the number of consecutive days. You can see back in 1975, we averaged about five of those days, where in 2013 we saw 30 consecutive days of 100s throughout the san jose valley. This summer is part of that trend. 15 days of 100degree heat or hotter in livermore with the hottest september day ever at 111 degrees. Most 100s weve seen since 2017. Weve all felt that heat, but the good news, we do have some cooling eventually on the way. Also this wind, were going to get rid of this. Its going to start to cool down and also the wind is going to start to fade. As we move through tomorrow, i do expect, at least for the morning hours, some areas of gusty winds right through the north bay. You can see that orange to red color on my map. Thats where well get those mountain gusts. But as we head toward tomorrow afternoon, notice how that wind in the mountains does start to diminish. Wind calming down as we move through tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures not too bad to start. Mostly sunny. Well be in the 60s here across most of the bay area except for San Francisco which will begin at 59. Now, temperatures tomorrow dont drop a whole lot just yet. As we look at the forecast, youll see down here across the south bay well be at 93 degrees in san jose, 95 in morgan hill. More of those 90s over to the east bay, 97 in pittsburgh, 97 in antioch, even 93 in oakland. So for those of you without ac, its a difficult day. 91 here in redwood city, 90 in san mateo.
