Were looking at upper 60s in half moon bay, some low 80s for palo alto and redwood city. For San Francisco expect those temperatures to reach into the upper 70s today, and well see some temperatures reaching 87 degrees in sonoma and 88 today in santa rosa. So whats happening here, were starting to see High Pressure building, the storm track is still well to the north of us. There is still some rain up around the pacific northwest, but we are missing out on that as High Pressure builds. Its going to block any chance of us getting any of that cooler or wetter weather. So now were going to start to see our winds developing blowing offshore around that area of High Pressure and with an offshore wind that increases our fire danger. Well see that especially happening between wednesday and thursday and continuing into friday so with that air moving over the sierra that dries out that air and then once it moves across the area into the bay area its going to be extremely dry and those winds will start to increase. As we look at our wind speed forecast, once again starting on wednesday and continuing through thursday well start to see a northerly wind that will increase up to about 30 Miles Per Hour and maybe a little bit higher for some of those upper elevations. We have new details on a tragic death during a family outing in lake tahoe. Firefighters say a mother drowned on friday night after becoming distressed while swimming in the chilly waters near zephyr cove. The woman jumped in the lake with six children onboard. The father jumped in with a life vest on to try to save her as the boat floated to the middle of the lake. Rescuers later pulled him out alive from the water but he did suffer from hypothermia. We do have good news in the north bay. Most of the evacuation orders and warnings are now lifted in the glass fire zone. The fire is now more than 90 contained but only after it destroys more than 600 homes and damaged wineries in napa and sonoma counties.
